The seamless body of Gollum was first clay sculpted, and scanned into computer for breaking down the internal structures of articulations, then printed out in resin. Remold, cast in clay for detail, then tooled into injection molds for plastic production.

It will not be a silicon like what we often seen in seamless body, but a plastic body. It is more endurable, and stronger.

Over 22 different types of soil, rocks and leaves were sourced for the recent artworks. Soil is organic, so we had go through a process of treating and drying it first. It was then placed onto our timber boards and then sealed with resin.

One of the three pieces had an extra material - letters. These were actual letters by Major Andrew that were scanned and printed so it can look as much as its original as possible. Separated from his wife during the war, Major Andrew wrote over a thousand letters to his wife Andrene. Check out the dates written in the letter. We were so moved by them, we had to include them in the artworks.

Thank you Tay Cher Siang for proposing this little duet - you are my 'music mom' ? He texted me on Wednesday (I think after I posted a few old pics of my mom on FB) to suggest this song video project. Here it is, this is a little mashup arranged by Cher Siang, P Ramlee's Ibu and 世上只有妈妈好. Thank you Terence Chong for teaching me how to record myself on professional gadgets, and mixing for us.

Cher Siang also helped compiled many of the photos we borrowed from friends, thank you kampong!
