Taiwán no relajará sus estrictas medidas de control fronterizo hasta que se aumente la tasa nacional de vacunación, anunció el miércoles el Centro de Comando Central de Epidemias (CECC, siglas en inglés), a pesar de que Taiwán había logrado controlar la pandemia registrando pocos casos diarios.
指揮中心週三時表示除非台灣疫苗覆蓋率衝高，不然將不會放寬邊境檢疫政策，即使台灣已經成功控制住疫情並每日只新增零星確診。

Desde el marzo cuando se inició el brote, Taiwán ha mantenido las fronteras cerradas a los no nacionales, salvo a aquellos con residencia o permiso especial para ingresar. Asimismo, se endurecieron las reglas de cuarentena en junio, requiriendo una cuarentena de 14 días en una instalación gubernamental o en un hotel de cuarentena a todos los que llegan desde el extranjero.
自從五月台灣疫情爆發後，台灣便不對非國民、持有居留證或有特殊許可以外人士開放入境。除此之外，台灣也在6月時強化入境檢疫的規範，強制所有來自國外的旅客入住政府規定場所並實施14天檢疫。

"Por supuesto que deseamos relajar algunas de estas reglas de cuarentena, pero primero debemos tener una protección más fuerte” dijo el jefe del CECC, y agregó que solo cuando la tasa de inoculados sea más alta, el CECC considerará ajustar algunas de las regulaciones de entrada.
「當然希望檢疫情況能放鬆，但重點還是台灣自身的保護力要先足夠」，陳時中也表示只有當疫苗接種率變高後，才會考慮放寬邊境政策。

Hasta la fecha, alrededor del 40% de la población de Taiwán ha recibido su primera dosis, pero menos del 3% ha recibido las dos vacunas necesarias para estar completamente vacunado. Según los expertos, Taiwán necesitará inmunizar al menos al 60% de la población para lograr la inmunidad colectiva y reabrirse de manera segura al mundo exterior.
直到現在為止，約有40%左有的台灣國民已接受至少1劑疫苗接種，但是只有3%不到的人有完全接種兩劑。而根據專家表示，台灣至少要接種60%的國民才能夠達到群體免疫並安全地開放邊境與國際接軌。
