聯合國大會開議期間， 台、美、日3國呼應大會落實SDGs議題，在9月29日 共同舉辦 #全球合作暨訓練架構 「以科技力建構韌性及加速落實永續發展目標」的線上研討會。

會中首先由3國代表致詞，探討如何 #強化國際科技合作，外交部吳部長則提到，台灣是國際社會不可或缺的成員，願意貢獻科技長才，與全球合作邁向疫後復甦，並實現聯合國 #2030年永續發展議程 及其各項永續發展目標， #目前正是聯合國採取行動解決台灣被不當排除在聯合國體系外的時刻。

這次研討會共有來自26個國家、逾80位官員及專家學者參加，「台灣人工智慧實驗室」（Taiwan AI Labs）創辦人杜奕瑾先生也擔任講者，活動圓滿成功。

#Taiwan, the #US and #Japan recently teamed up to host the Virtual #GCTF on "Building Resilience and Accelerating the SDGs through Technology." The online workshop, which took place during #UNGA76, was aimed at harnessing technology in the recovery from the pandemic and achieving the UN sustainable development goals.

MOFA Minister Joseph Wu, AIT Deputy Director Jeremy Cornforth, Chief Representative of the Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association Taipei Izumi Hiroyasu and Deputy US Ambassador to the United Nations Jeffrey Prescott each gave opening remarks at the online event, which was attended by 80 officials and experts from 26 countries.

Minister Wu stated that Taiwan is an indispensable member of the global community and is willing to contribute with its technological strengths to help the world make a successful recovery in the wake of the pandemic and in the achievement of the UN sustainable development agenda.

外交部の呉釗燮部長、米国在台協会台北事務所（AIT/Ｔ）のジェレミー・コーンフォース副所長、日本台湾交流協会台北事務所の泉裕泰代表は昨日、グローバル協力訓練枠組み（GCTF）の一環として「テクノロジーを通じた強靱性の構築とSDGｓの推進」をテーマにしたバーチャルワークショップを共同開催しました。

呉釗燮部長はこのワークショップで「台湾は国際社会に欠かせない一員です。このコロナ禍で、台湾はテクノロジーを活用したウイルスの封じ込めに取り組んでいます。国連の持続可能な開発目標（SDGｓ）実現において、台湾は世界に貢献できます。台湾が国連体系から排除されるべきではありません」と述べました。

今回のワークショップには、合計26か国から80人の専門家と政府官僚が参加しました。台湾、米国と日本はグローバル協力訓練枠組みを通して、一層緊密な協力関係を構築しています。

◤How ESG investors jolted Foxconn into taking climate action?◢
In recent years, foreign institutional investors have been focusing on the performance of companies in their portfolios in terms of environmental impact, social responsibility, and corporate governance, abbreviated as ESG. Spanish Needles Bidens alba is a very common weed with goof medical functions. Our ancients used it in herbal tea and some skin treatment, like small wood, itching, bug bites. I gathered the plants last weekend and made soaps with them. My college designed this stamp for it, I really like the Chinese characters in the design.

Recently, "how to prepare the lye solution of herbal soaps" was discussed in our Facebook group. Some people like to use regular herbal juice and some people like to use frozen herbal juice, so I tried both methods with the same recipe at the same time and the results are very similar (almost the same). I don't like the irritating air while dissolving lye in the regular juice, so I'd rather spend more time to freeze the juice and dissolve lye in the frozen one.

Inami is most well known for its extensive wood carving district which traces its origins to the construction of the Inami Betsuin Zuisen-ji Temple in 1390. This temple, entirely made of wood and ornamented with intricate carvings has a long history of burning down only to be rebuilt in a much more extravagant fashion. The temple was most recently rebuilt during the Meiji period in 1885, and now exists as the largest wooden Pureland Buddhist temple in the Hokuriku region. It was officially designated as "one of the prefecture's important cultural assets" on April 1, 1965.


Because of its rich history, wood carving is the major trade in Inami. During the reconstruction of the temple in the mid 18th century woodcarvers from Kyoto were dispatched to help in the rebuilding process. These helpers ushered in a new era of woodcarving in Inami, and local carpenters began to produce a more varied assortment of carvings than the temple pieces they had focused on previously.Presently, the woodcarvers use over 200 different variations of chisels to complete their works. They are considered to be the most skilled woodcarvers Japan.

The sound of the Inami woodcarving district was chosen in 1996 as one of the 100 Soundscapes of Japan.
