Yesterday @fariedzfazley and I explored how smelly it would have been in the Middle Ages for History Year 7. Then we had to create a leaflet for tourists coming to visit a Middle Ages city display at a museum. I forgot that this was a modern day rendition of the city so i queried the use of a flush mechanism at the loos. He rolled his eyes and said, “Mama this is just a display to give an IDEA of what toilets were like during those times. Can you imagine if we actually had a hole in the ground with no flushes in the modern day and how smelly it would be if all the tourists had a go at the loos?” Okay, my bad 🤣🤣🙈 #overeagermama #chroniclesofahomeschoolmum

Had a very frank, insightful and productive discussion this morning on #undi18 with fellow Johorean, YB Dato’ Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein, the UMNO MP for Sembrong. Humbled that he is supportive of lowering the voting age to 18 while raising valid concerns. DS mentioned the impact of social media on our political discourse and queried if Malaysia’s young voters will be sufficiently well-informed of key issues when they go to the polls. I have taken note of the points highlighted and will ensure that feedback from different parties are taken into account—including those of the opposition. I fully support his belief that our democracy can only be safeguarded by an informed and active electorate. My discussion with @hishammuddinhussein was truly invaluable and I am grateful for the opportunity to discuss national issues heart to heart despite our political leanings. I look forward to a spirited, thorough debate on #undi18 and to producing the best possible change for our country and future generations.
