It’s not how you look but rather how you feel about yourself.

I think one of the most common questions I’ve get asked these days is how my saggy belly looks now. If you don’t already know, I had polyhydramnios for both my pregnancies. This meant I carried an abnormal amount of fluid which would ultimately result my preggy belly being much much larger than norma. In fact, I was commonly mistaken for expecting twins. It wasn’t easy dealing with Polydramnios and SPD (Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction) at the same time. The sheer weight was excruciating against my small frame. Thankfully both my pregnancies were healthy but it did also mean I would be left with a whole lot of extra skin. Mamas belly was stretchedddddd!

I actually thought things didn’t look so bad after my 2nd baby but in reality, my belly was still filled out from my baby weight. Now as I enter into a healthier and more active lifestyle, my tummy is slowly shrinking and the wrinkles are making their appearance again. They’re more obvious than ever.

Bear in mind, it actually doesn’t exactly much guts for me to show you my “flaws” because, this is me and ... I’m proud of me.

My body has healed through every bruise, cut and scrape. It has protected me from germs and illnesses. At times when I did fall ill, it made sure I recovered and bounced back stronger. Most of all, my body has grown and brought my two beautiful children into the world. My body is incredible. It has went through so much and you bet my wrinkles tell part of my story but it doesn’t define me.

My body loves me and I’m going to love it too. This means full acceptance and being grateful for it.

When you envision the word strong, how does it look? Do you only envision muscles? Truth is, strong looks different on everyone. You are so wonderfully and fearfully made. You are not defined by numbers. Not by your clothing size or a number on a scale... Unless you want to be.

So my body doesn’t look like a Victoria Secret model. But is it keeping me alive? Yes. Does it allow me to do the things I want to do? Yes!!!! Cool. Let’s go kick some ass and make today great! #bodypositive #mumbod #fitness #selflove #bubzvlogz #strong #thankful

接著，在場的所有同仁摒息，
同時再度見證生命的奧妙 --
果然，雙胞胎的老大，
手從子宮中伸出，
我伸出食指，
她馬上用力緊握(真的很用力)，
像海中攀住浮木的人。」

Yesterday I performed a CS for twin-twin transfusion syndrome at 31 weeks of gestation. Before operation, I told to my junior colleagues; I don’t know why, but the baby inside the polyhydramnios sac usually extends its hand outside (like call help) while I rupture the membrane.

They seem to present a strong will of surviving – although nobody teaches them to do so.

Yesterday, the baby extended her hand outside the womb while everyone here hold his (her) breath. She tightly grasped my index finger (like a drowning man, grasping the floating wood). I delivered her soon (i.e. gave her a hand); she was pink and cried vigorously. Both babies are well now.

Life is a miracle. Hope everyone has a blessed life.

上週一個合併雙胞胎胎間輸血症候群(TTTS)的孕婦轉介來我這裡，因為已經30周，我沒打算再轉介他院做胎盤的雷射手術。因為供血兒(donor twin)迅速進展到膀胱消失，受血兒(recipient)則變心臟擴大，經討論，決定提早生產以免產生不良後果。

昨天已31週，劃刀前我和年輕醫師說，羊水過多的受血兒(recipient)幾乎都是一破水，胎兒就伸手出來子宮外，抓住任何可攀緣的東西。

昨天一破水，羊水像水庫潰堤，一下就淹滿手術檯附近。

接著，在場的所有同仁摒息，同時再度見證生命的奧妙 --

果然，雙胞胎的老大，手從子宮中伸出，

我伸出食指，她馬上用力緊握(真的很用力)，像海中攀住浮木的人。

緊接著我把她抱出，紅通通，寶寶很快開始哭。沒多久，妹妹也以臀位娩出，一樣哭的很好。

我想昨天在場的人都感受到那的喜悅和震撼了，分享給各位。

雖然沒經過學習，胎兒也有與生俱來的求生意志吧。所以不要輕言放棄或糟蹋自己父母給予的生命。
