一個站在臺座上、漸漸變成石像的人 —— ØZI 第二張專輯《PEDESTAL》的同名序曲，在形式（唸白）與內容上都呼應首張專輯的序曲〈Øzymandias〉：在雪萊詩作中被歌詠的雕像，於新專輯中被 ØZI 拿來闡述自己的焦慮，並作為自身的預言 —— 成名之後，漸漸失卻普凡的人性，僵化為沒有感覺的雕像，被仰望卻不再與世人共情。

如何避免自己繼續「石化」？ØZI 在《PEDESTAL》中，選擇用他在出道時曾經被聽眾批判的情慾書寫，來回應這個問題。專輯中序曲以降，每一首歌都以情愛作為題材，對敘事裡的對象做強烈呼告。這樣看似十分陽具中心的創作策略，讓人忍不住要檢視作品語境中可能有的疑慮，但 ØZI 在部份細節處做描寫，使他呼告的對象不僅僅是被慾望的客體：

因為對方知道自己會打過去，索性就不打過去了：挫敗的雄性展現傲嬌的賭氣，〈LUFU〉中發話的男性形象即便有傲，舉動與情緒卻也受制於對象。同時，這些男性也常常處在服務對象、滿足對象慾望的位置，挑逗裡帶有央求：

在 ØZI 的語境裡，對情慾的直白描述被當成坦率、真誠的表徵。對聽者而言的意義，則在於見識到將性愛的具體描述放入台灣流行樂這件事、除了戲謔或俚俗等情緒激躍的途徑之外（通常搭配一種爽朗的、痞漢式的男性形象），還能夠以冷調、文雅氣質來詮釋，擴張了台灣男性創作者在作品中寫性的可能面貌。
