    Toothbrush: How to CHOOSE?🤔

    Legend has it....the harder the toothbrush bristles, the better it cleans your teeth?

    WRONG!🙅🏻‍♀️

    Choosing toothbrush is like choosing a pillow...it should be soft and comfortable to use.🤩

    [🦷 SOFT-BRISTLED vs HARD-BRISTLED]

    ✅Although some people find it less “shiok” to brush gently, soft-bristled toothbrush enables you to clean more effectively without harming your gums and the outermost protective layer of your teeth (Enamel). 💪🏻

    ✅ Soft bristles are able to reach into certain areas of your teeth that hard bristles can’t reach, therefore cleaning your teeth better.😁 You may choose toothbrush with rounded-tip bristles to provide even more protection!

    ❌Brushing frequently with hard-bristle toothbrush may wear down the outermost layer of your teeth faster, causing problems like sensitivity. 🥶

    ❌The pressure exerted from hard bristled toothbrush may damage your gums or cause your gums to “pull back” from your teeth [Gingival Recession], exposing your root surface, leading to sensitivity.😱

    [🦷SMALL-HEADED vs LARGE-HEADED]

    ✅ Small-headed toothbrush can reach hard-to-access areas (eg. The back of your teeth / the sides of your molars), thus enabling you to clean better.

    ❌ Most people who use large-headed toothbrush has the illusion that they are covering more surfaces as they brush...but that’s incorrect! Large-headed toothbrush can’t reach into most areas of your mouth, especially the spaces in between your teeth.

    💡What are the things we should keep in mind?

    🦷Always remember to change your toothbrush every 3 months to avoid bacterial buildup & ensure brushing efficiency!😊

    🦷 Do NOT share your toothbrush...unless you ran out of toothbrush. Just joking. NEVER share your toothbrush as diseases might spread from one user to another.
