架空メイド ・わたしはわたしを愛せなかったことを後悔してきたんだな。ずっと。 ・わたしが、美しい仮面のために頭痛や酸欠に耐えていようと、化粧でデコレーションしただけのわが醜い顔で自由に息をしていようと、変わらずに今日も一緒に写真を撮りたいと言ってくれる人がいる。 衝撃的なことだった。 美しい仮面だけが愛を引き受ける資格を持っているのであって、その向こう側の命など必ず忌まわしいはずだ。数少ない罵声を根拠にしてすべてを頑なに決めつけてきたのは、むしろわたしのほうだったんだろう。気付いてすらいなかった。 ごめん。これほどまでの愛を、いままで信じることができなくて。 ・はだかのわたしを認めてほしいなどとは望んでいない。嫌です。 やはり、好きな服を着て、好きな化粧をしたわたしこそが、ありのままのわたしなのだ。 しかし、 どうやらわたしは、美しいとか愛おしいみたいなことの要件に、わたしが消えていなくなることが絶対に含まれているはずだと、がむしゃらに信じてきたらしい。 それは間違っている。今は、そう確信できる。 . ・I've been regretting that I couldn't love myself. [Singapore] A Taoist priest is often seen performing rituals, prayers or even at funerals, but that’s not his only task. He should be in search for the Tao (the way). From there he will guide the devotees to understand what the religion is preaching, and how they can apply it in their daily life, how to accept every challenges and how they should conduct oneself. While some of these priests live in seclusion, there are also many who live among the populace and serve the temples. Like this priest shown in the picture is Master Huang Xin Cheng (黄信成道长) who came from the White Cloud Temple (白云观) in Beijing, he is an ordained priest of the Dragon Gate Sect of the Complete Perfection School (道教全真龙门派), he has been serving in the Lorong Koo Chye Sheng Hong Temple since 2000. Many people misunderstood that the scriptures used in the rituals are meant for the deities or the ghosts to bless them for a windfall but that is pretty untrue, most of what was written in the scriptures are in fact meant for the devotees because the priest is just like a teacher in the school, the scriptures are the textbooks, and the devotees are the students. And what is the Tao?
