Covid really brought about an unprecedented time! Looking back a year ago, who would have thought even something as simple as dining out would change so drastically in present day. But I do feel that sometimes we take our safety for granted. That’s why I did my recent #JinTokSeek video to parody annoying customers in restaurants to highlight certain actions that should be taken more seriously, but of course in a light-hearted manner hehe 👨🏻‍🦲 And the person who gave me some of the very real examples is Peter! Followers of my IGS would know my regular haunts on weekends haha and Peter is a staff at one of the usual restaurants that I frequent. Whenever I see him deal with pesky customers, I sometimes also cannot tahan lol! I think as customers, sometimes we think we’re right, but we also have to understand from a business point of view, sometimes a leniency like allowing groups of more than 5 may result in a restaurant’s suspension. And I’m sure we don’t want that to happen! But whenever Peter passes my table, he will still speak to us with a smile even though he may have just resolved a difficult situation. This is a mark of his professionalism and hospitality. And in the same vein, I want to thank all F&B staff in Singapore for your resilience during these trying times! I’m positive that we can all get through this together.
