My burnout recovery story 📖 ⁣ ⁣ The reason why MINC.Care existed was because of my burnout story where I realize so little to none of my friends around me talk about self-care. I was falling into this bad cycle of constantly overworking, hustling and pushing my boundaries to achieve more. ⁣ ⁣ That’s when I achieve NOTHING fulfilling because, well, I was out of the game. I WASN’T OKAY. I couldn’t even count my wins because I was so exhausted. ⁣ ⁣ Fast forward today, 2 years after the first episode of burnout, here I am talking about burnout again. I know I talk so much about self-care that people may think I am an “expert” in this, and probably I no longer feel exhausted or burned out. ⁣ ⁣ Here’s the truth 🚨 ⁣ ⁣ I had multiple dips of burnouts in between the two years. ⁣ ⁣ Does that mean the self care did not work? ⁣ ⁣ NO. ⁣ ⁣ But my approach to self care has shifted. ⁣ ⁣ I often wait until I feel exhausted or worked to the edge when I decide to practice self care. I often think I can hang on a little longer before taking a break. ⁣ ⁣ It’s not the self-care ritual that didn’t work. ⁣ ⁣ But the mindset towards applying self-care didn’t work. ⁣ ⁣ One thing I’ve learned after frustration of falling into those dips of burnout even when I diligently practice self-care is⁣ ⁣ I DON’T HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL I AM BURNED OUT TO PRACTICE SELF-CARE. ⁣ ⁣ instead ⁣ ⁣ I AM PRACTICING SELF-CARE EVEN WHEN I AM OKAY, SO I CAN CONTINUE TO BE OKAY. ⁣ ⁣ For people who are struggling in your burnout recovery journey, know that recovery is never a linear curve. There’s always ups and downs. Each time, we learn and unlearn ineffective ways in recovering.⁣ ⁣ Just know that, your burnout story doesn’t define your worth.
