#aapifamily 🌍☄️It’s Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month and I figured there’s no better time than now we share the lessons we learnt growing up Asian as a community. Our growth is like the ocean🌊. You put it in a box and she will shift, change and retreat at will. We must leave her wild and free. Sometime we shoulder too much historical and familial baggage our growth can be impeded by those limiting beliefs. But remember what shapes our past actions are just taught. Our lesson is to release them and you will be able to see the limitless routes to voyage beyond those limiting, imaginary boundaries. May we all learn to unlearn 🌍🌈 #aapiheritagemonth

PELICAN My first Rick top, hopefully the first of many! From the SS17 WALRUS collection, oh how it shrouds / engulfs the wearer in this distorted, grotesque silhouette conceived in a surprisingly stiff and hardy cotton blend 😳. I love how adamant and unapologetic Rick always is at embodying a show’s themes and embedding them quite literally into its garments, this time themes of change, evolution and embarking into the unknown translated in classic body-horror fashion, consuming the figure and morphing the form into its animalistic avian namesake. All this combined with what I can only describe as pleating and drapery that wishes it were more elegant, yet is impeded by its very own nature / fabric. A brutal expression of beauty. 今週のPregnancy topicは... 呼吸🌬❤️ 私達の呼吸は体の機能、安定、と回復に深くかかわっているって知ってた〜？🌬✨✨ Diaphragmatic breathingを普段から練習すると産後の回復と安定を助けてくれると言われてるんだょ！☺️✨ 腹筋群、背中、骨盤底筋に均等に呼吸を送るイメージ🍃 一箇所だけに集中して呼吸を送ったり、力が入りすぎると回復を遅らせる原因になるよ〜😖 例えば、二つ目のアブドミナル・ブリージングまたは腹式呼吸は全て力と呼吸が前へ、そうすると 既に開いてる腹直筋を更に腹直筋離開( 腹筋の腱が縦に裂けて「ぽっこりお腹」になってしまう可能性が高くなるの😟🤭 産前、出産、産後も呼吸を自分の味方にしたいですね〜🥳💞💞 Diaphragmatic breathing support healing and stabilization! We want an even distribuion of pressure throughout the abdominal cavity into the abs, back, and pelvic floor. 🤍 When we clench or restrict movement to only certain places, we may find that our healing is impeded by not allowing those tissues to heal properly😖 Example being belly breathing, if you do too much it may hinder healing of a diastasis. Obviously there are reasons for breathing patterns like a tight back or clenched pelvic floor so trying to achieve and understand your body better may help you breathe better!! 👌🏼💓
