【USA 🇺🇸 New York 】Clearly, opposition of USA’s Cheeto Jesus (that’s a term I learnt from my friends) is everywhere in New York city. . Although a call for impeachment of Trump is on the table, it doesn’t mean he will eventually be impeached. Quite a lot of people believe it is very likely that Trump would be re-elected as the President of the United States 😨😤, but there are even more people trying their best to advocate everybody to go out and vote - against him. . It doesn’t matter if we are Democrat or Republican, we should all be strongly against anybody who is a narcissist, racist, bigot and misogynist who lies on a daily basis😡. . This restaurant in Brooklyn uses their shop front to advocate voting. Honestly, the US political system is far too complicated for me to fully comprehend, but at the very least, I like the fact that they are free to express their political view in your face. . I have remained quiet since inauguration day, as I don't like to use my social media as a political platform, and posts abound opining this way and that, so I didn't want to add to the noise. I have gone down many a rabbit hole reading article after article of great reporting, but this @time article really captures the moment in a succinct, well written piece. --- "This is the kind of leadership we need right now [talking about Eisenhower]: those who are willing to stare down raw truths and speak to the threat of what happens when we sacrifice our basic humanity and Constitutional rights for political fear-mongering." --- I want to stay positive, but it seems fleeting. Mr. Trump is a disgusting display of what a human being can be. From bans on refugees to the DAPL, nominees that I can't even fathom (I'm looking right at you Betsy DeVos..DISGUSTING), and a "little" speech on Black History Month that was a word-soup of narcissistic, self-aggrandizing gibberish. I hope, for the sake of our country and the protections it affords us and people around the world, that this asshole gets impeached.
