Fun facts about the music video for the 「我不怪誰」 song ♥️🎵 part 1 🎹We only had a studio for 6 hours, so we nailed it to shoot the whole Mv including the change of the style to the white one in just 6 hours sharp! No even one minute late! 👌🏻 it’s amazing cuz usually MV shooting takes around 17-20 hours+ or even few days!☝🏻 🎹 Outfits for the MV I styled myself, including the Jewerly~ I ordered the dresses in the same night when I got the idea about the script for the video 😉 yeah I’m fast in making decisions 😅👏🏻 big thanks to my stylist @kayyyen for tailoring it perfectly for my body shape ♥️ 🎹 I had all my body covered with bruises the day after! #Single out 10.10! When I first heard @dianawangofficial ‘s album 《诗》a few years ago, my mind was blown, and specifically this song 望江亭really got to me. The lyrics are so well written, the melody sung so expressively and the hook so infectious. It took me a long time to arrange this cover, because I spent so damn long trying to figure out the chord changes, and then how to actually something different with it because it’s honestly a perfect song. My approach to covers is: never just do a “#cover” make it sound unique. Anyways I fell in love with this song and I HAD to cover it for @spicecab so I went and recorded it with my band. This one features @noahhocker and @mattgoldmusic who is one of favorite guitar players and a dear classmate from Oberlin! Here’s a little preview of my arrangement and a band camp link! Last year, I enrolled in a Jungian based expressive art course with the amazing clinical psychotherapist, Dr. Diana, wanting to elevate my art into a higher understanding on how it can be beneficial psychologically in a tangible way. That started me on a journey of self discovery, and a deeper grasp of my own relationship with the art that I produce. I learnt to unlearn and worked against everything that I was taught & trained for - against design principles and every other art rules on being the ‘artist’. The uncharted territory for me, was the class we had for Authentic Movement where you just expressively move your body freely without music or any props - I felt so liberated. Being placed with a room full of health care professionals was intimidating and having spent hours together sharing in the span of a year, it’s hard not to be exposed, almost impossible to not be vulnerable if I must say. After a year, it came to my realisation on how well I did in my journey to self individuate *pats self*, my colossal need of a ‘sanctuary’ as a place of incubation to recharge, and to be both free and in control. Not controlling others in any way (I don’t usually give a hoot on what others do 🤭), but to be in control of me myself and to be free to do what I want to do - that is, I’m responsible for my emotions, my environment, my actions (and then which I realise on the flip downside, I don’t like it when people wanna control my life or tell me what to do 🤔 .... everyone’s a work in progress!) Anyhoo, thank you @lynnettechai for jio-ing me for the course! God knows how many sessions I was tempted to skip out if it wasn’t for a course buddy 😆
