และยังกลับมาพร้อมกับนักแสดงดังหลายคนจากภาคก่อนๆด้วย อย่าง Stallone, Couture, Jason Statham และ Dolph Lundgren
โดยภาคนี้มีผู้กำกับที่ผันตัวมาจากสตันต์แมน “สก็อต วาห์” จากหนังเรื่อง Act of Valor และ Need for Speed ที่เป็นผู้รับหน้าที่กำกับภาคนี้ ผมคิดว่าเนื้อเรื่องอาจจะไม่ต่างจากเดิมเท่าไหร่นะ แต่ขออย่าให้มันมั่วๆเหมือนภาค 3 เลย5555 ที่มีแต่คนดังๆมาร่วมแสดงเยอะเกินจนกระจายบทกันไม่ทั่วถึง แต่ในภาค4นี้ ผมเชื่อว่ามันต้องดีขึ้นแหละหลังจากได้รับ Feedback ไปขนาดนั้น เพราะเฮีย เจสัน คอนแสตนติน ผู้บริหารของ Lionsgate มาเคลมด้วยตัวเองว่ารอบนี้มีอะไรเจ๋งๆซ่อนอยู่แน่นอน แต่ในภาคนี้ ตัวเอกของเรื่องจะเปลี่ยนจากสตอลโลนมาเป็นสเตธัมแทน และมีฟ็อกซ์ที่รับบทนำหญิงของเรื่อง และที่พลาดไม่ได้คือมีนักแสดงชื่อดัง นักบู๊จากไทย จาพนม ที่มีผลงานระดับอินเตอร์ออกมาให้ดูทุกๆปี ร่วมแสดงในภาคนี้ด้วยนั่นเองครับผม

〔編譯陳成良／綜合報導〕希臘神話中的蛇髮女妖「美杜莎」，只要和她眼神對上，任何有生命的東西都會變成石頭。美國海軍也有一個取名為「美杜莎」（MEDUSA）的進攻性水雷新項目，可產生類似的癱瘓效果，將可用於威懾中國艦艇。

據美國媒體《富比士》（Forbes）報導，MEDUSA即「可消耗性無人潛艇佈雷系統」（Expendable Delivery Unmanned Submarine Asset ）的簡稱，在海軍新的研發預算中，被描述為一種中等級別的無人水下載具（UUV），能夠從潛艇上部署進攻性水雷，還具有發射魚雷的能力，不僅射程遠、還能夠承載重型武器，未來有可能攜帶其它先進武器，以滿足額外的任務需求。

不同於既有發射水雷潛艦，「美杜莎」系統秘密投放的「隱秘布放水雷（Clandestine Delivered Mine，​CDM）」，是透過網路遠端控制的，能夠隨意被啟動或休眠，甚至是改變攻擊模式，例如將水雷設置為只攻擊潛艦或水面目標。

根據海軍預算，一個「美杜莎」系統的原型機將於2021年財政年度內透過大型潛艦進行發射試驗。試驗如果成功，採購計劃將會迅速出爐，目的是要在2023財政年度內授予生產訂購合約。

獨立海軍分析師斯特拉坎（David Strachan）最近發表了一篇論文，詳細介紹了美國海軍的進攻性水雷戰略，強調戰爭的假想敵人是中國，進攻性水雷會有效地將中國海軍艦艇，特別是潛艦困在在海港內，並削弱其攻擊力量。

因為在靠近港口的海域佈設水雷是非常冒險的，小型、隱蔽的水下無人載具則要比大型載人潛艇好得多。

在希臘神話中，美杜莎一眼就能將對手變成石頭。美軍的現代「美杜莎」旨在產生類似的癱瘓效果，當雷區被啟動後，使敵人的潛艦與航運突然停止，光是水雷的存在就可以達到威懾作用，能在不用實際炸沉艦船的情況之下，限制敵人並使其陷入困境。

毫無疑問，這對美國海軍來說是一個高度戰略性的領域，因為這些水雷很可能在與中國的任何衝突中發揮關鍵作用。

斯特拉坎說：「如果台灣的情況開始升溫，而海軍想要在解放軍港口外預先部署水雷，這些水雷在這個角色上會做得很好。」
