世上只得你一個.....惜別太早。Salute to the Master Azzedine Alaia🌹
During Haute Couture Week now taking place in Paris, the designs of the late Azzedine Alaia are being exhibited in the glass-roofed gallery next to his studio and home in the Marais district where he used to show his creations.
None of the dresses in “Azzedine Alaia: I am a Couturier” exhibition which runs till June have denotations for when they were made, which added the the timeless appeal of the Tunisia-born designer.
“I defy anyone to distinguish between a dress made in 1981, 1995 or 2017,” exhorted fashion historian Olivier Saillard, who curated the selection.

昨天得知歌手王子逝世的消息，讓我極為難過，相信各位這幾天將看到許多他的生涯回顧，因為他堪稱劃時代的巨擘，他的音樂獨樹一格，不能以一般放克、節奏藍調、或流行樂來歸類。這個噩耗對我而言特別痛心，對我這樣在1980年代於明尼蘇達州度過少年時期的人而言，王子無疑是個傳奇人物。他在明尼蘇達土生土長，雖具有全球知名度，但從未離開家鄉（他就住在家母附近的一棟紫色住宅）。以前我同學熱衷於談論他們在當地的「第一大道」酒吧，或明尼通卡湖岸見到他。我不確定我最喜歡他的哪首曲子，我想到的有《小紅科維特》、《發瘋吧》，以及要大家像《1999》年般狂歡的頌歌。但最動聽的或許是《鴿子哭泣時》，一開始的誘人節奏在出片30年後的今日，仍然讓人一聽就知，而且不禁想隨節奏起舞。有趣的是，明尼蘇達州還孕育出另兩位音樂巨星－鮑伯·迪倫和茱蒂·嘉蘭，但只有王子留在家鄉。他的過世讓我這一代人心裡悵然若失，想起當年頭髮茂密、皺紋較少、而且希望無窮的日子… --- 梅健華 #FromAITDirector #Prince
I was deeply saddened to hear of Prince's death yesterday. You will, no doubt, read and hear many retrospectives of his career in the coming days because he was a trailblazing genius whose music defied labeling (was it funk, rhythm and blues, or pop?). But this news is especially sad for me. If you were a teenager living in the state of Minnesota in the 1980s, as I was, Prince was a mythic figure -- a native son, who was famous and cool internationally while never leaving his home roots (he lived in a purple mansion near my mom's house) . My classmates would gush about Prince sightings at a local club called First Avenue or on the shores of Lake Minnetonka. I'm not sure what my favorite Prince song is. 'Little Red Corvette' and 'Let's Go Crazy' come to mind, as well as the anthem that exhorted us to 'party like it's 1999.' Perhaps the best, though, is 'When Doves Cry,' a song whose first few seductive beats and notes remain instantly recognizable and propel us toward the dance floor some 30 years after it was recorded. It is interesting that Minnesota bred two other megastar musical talents, Bob Dylan and Judy Garland, but only Prince stayed home. His death leaves a hole in my generation, reminding us of a time when we had more hair, fewer wrinkles, and boundless hopes for the future....km
