I started my rescue /TNR journey last Aug, here's my experience and thoughts to jot down for my own reference. So pls be kind with your comments. . . 1) Like many people, i didn't know and didn't care to know that calling the council for reporting nuisance of dogs and cats means murdering them. Our country solution for strays are capture them whenever there's a complain and euthanize them due to lack of demand in adootion and also, not many cares. 2) There are MANY beautiful cats, dogs that are being abandoned. Yes they are beautiful, and yet they are abandoned. They are mostly adopted by their looks, then abandoned by no fault of their own. This is why im holding my gear up for my kittens and Mama as they are "beautiful" in the society eyes. We all love beautiful things don't we. But they can also be discarded just like trash when they're no longer love. Its proven that looks doesn't help to last a relationship. Its a love between owner and pet. 3) Competition between rescuers for rescources and more politics between rescuers and shelters. It is no ones fault, but the system and our governmetn. The people in this system is so little and everyone is pouring out their heart and soul, emptied their bank and swipe all their card. Some even divorced or left by their family because no one could understand why they do so. It is a very sad truth. And many rescuers also suffered from depression and anxiety. When there's a request, if they don't take it, they will be threatened that why dont you take? I donated for you. I would've donated to someone else. Holding them emotional threat. Its like giving them food by holding a gun on their head. People also abandoned animals in front of the door. When you turn around and see how full is your house or shelter, and yet people just kept dumping. So all rescuers and shelters have to fight their rescources. They have to choose the prettier ones to rescue so they can get funding to rescue more. Not all do that but this is an apparent struggle. 4) Rescuers get threatened or get called names. Because they are extreme. It is actually not because we are extreme, its because we've seen the bad, the horrifying, the thing that...

Drip your pet. Dont give up when you heard the word kidney disease. ❤️ Don't euthanize them. They are not in pain like what you think. Ive known pets that had been doing this 5 times a week and still live a good quality of life. Don't give up on them.

Some people would call us crazy, but I guess love makes you do crazy things. 🥺♥️ We have now outgrown our apartment and we’re excited to be moving into a bigger home at the end of our lease for the new year because… MEET RILEY! 😍🌟 The newest addition to our family! Riley is a 3 year old - Old English Sheepdog from Korea. He was only 1 day away from being euthanize when @bunnysbuddies quickly came to the rescue. When we saw Riley, we were so eager to contribute and excited to adopt him when we heard that no one came forward to help him find his forever home in the US. We’ve been itching to add one final brother into the family and our hearts were so eager and open to change his life for the better. Riley has been with us for a week now, and we have been slowly introducing him to his new life along with his new brothers. It’s been a very eye opening and beautiful experience as we all alter our lives for Riley’s comfort. A huge thank you to my mom and sister for pitching in and helping us. Riley came to us with a lot of fear, emotion and curiosity. As much as he is THE SWEETEST dog, he also has moments where he swings into “survival mode”, which at one point, extremely scared us as we saw a more angry and violent side of him. It was extremely traumatizing but we forbid to give up on him. Rescues come with a lot of LIFE, in order to better their future, we have to put in effort to understand their past. Riley is now working with a professional trainer that can help him better understand that he’s now SAFE and LOVED. All we need is time. Thank you to @bunnysbuddies for giving us another chance to rescue (Casper is also a rescue from them) and for always being a phone call away to lend a helping hand.
