Back to civilisation. As always, the 10 days Vipassana Course was so enlightening and enriching for the soul! The love i received at Vipassana Kanchanaburi Center was so pure. All the Dhamma servers @noodi_vanessa @kus.linlunla really made our life so pleasant - so ready to provide whatever they can at our request, allowing us to focus completely on our meditation and not having to worry abt any logistic issues. Always full of smile - and smile, a universal message that needs no words to convey, so the love and vibrations were very much present even when we couldn't talk. Every meditator were so serious with their meditations too. Our first meditation everyday starts at 430am. Every time im there at 420am, it'd already be 80% filled. Probably 30% of the 100 over female that attended were elderly. I have utmost respect for them. Even though some of them required walking stick to get around, it did not stop them from completing their course with devotion and dedication. It was truly humbling. #noexcuse If through the pain and discomfort, they can do it, what excuse do i have to not give my 100%. . Every time at Vipassana, i get reminded again on the importance of Equanimity and Awareness. Teacher Goenka said, this 2 virtues are equally important for the practice of a Vipassana meditator, like the wings of a bird - they need to be the same size so the bird can fly properly. To be liberated from misery, one needs to have awareness and yet remain equanimous from moment and moment in the present. Vipassana changed my life. I used to be so reactive and emotionally unregulated. I was always so miserable and making the people ard me miserable as well. Since Vipassana, I've been so much calmer and objective - seeing things for face value instead of lugging my lifetime worth of baggage into every fights and arguments. There's so much benefits in the practise. I highly recommend anyone to go for it, the sooner the better. I discovered this at 31. I wish i had found out abt it earlier (then again, i also believe it is meant to happen exactly only when I'm ready for it) So if you're thinking what age and when u should go, i would say ASAP, i would say no time like NOW.
