昨日清晨04:30,一艘由西班牙開往美國的大貨櫃船Maersk Kensington(美國旗)在抵達紐約領港站上領港時發生領港墜落意外,紐約領港Captain Dennis Sherwood 送醫後不治,留下妻子及兩男兩女, Captain Dennis Sherwood 具有35年領港經驗,當時浪高1.6M,陣風七級.
Maersk Kensington是懸掛美國旗,2007年下水,總噸位/74642噸,長/299米,海況應該是還不錯1.6米七級風,對一艘7萬噸,長299米的大貨櫃來說,在擋好浪的情況下應該可以製造出平穩的下風水域;如果你仔細觀察,大船的領港梯,是一種稱作 ‘embarkation platform’的引水梯.雖然有些理論上對這種引水梯有些意見(多數是說在繩梯上端與平台連接處,轉登不易),但是以我個人的經驗與感受,這是我最愛的一種領港梯,尤其是在狂風巨浪的海況之下,因為它可以臨陣見機調整高度,不像一般的組合梯,等領港艇到大船邊時才發現太高或太低需要調整時,要花費二三十分鐘,喪失登輪的最佳時機.
大船好,環境好,領港經驗好,但是悲劇仍然發生,這就是為何要研究”危機管理”的主要原因.事前的Risk Management與事後的Crisis Management是要串連起來整體考量的.

[Part 1/2] It started with an idea, a notion, a DREAM.... Dig deep enough and we'll find something that will make us jump out of bed every morning. Discovering my passion was the easiest part; having that dream realized required a combination of hard work in honing my skills, commitment & dedication to my craft, utmost determination, good ounce of smarts & the most precious of them all, people & time.
With these ingredients put together and with all the courage I could muster, I sought after one of my dreams of become a singer-song writer. The dream of producing work that could move the soul of another, touch hearts deeply, and change lives in the smallest or most profound of ways.
This album marks the first major artistic production embarkation of mine of which would not have been made possible without all elements coming together in perfect harmony and for that, I am truly, truly grateful.
Hence, I would like to begin with giving thanks to God for it was with his grace that lead me to the opportunity to work with, be surrounded with and be supported by absolutely incredible individuals in allowing my goals and dreams to be realized. After all, my work is only as good as the people who have worked tirelessly and faithfully with me.
