好多變性人後悔性別重置手術？

其實，在國際間的學術研究中所錄得的後悔數字，隨著時代的進步一直急速下降[1]，這些研究（如荷蘭、法國、比利時、德國、挪威和巴西）往往發現沒有[2][3]，或者極少數的變性人會後悔，這裡所指的「極少數」，是指二百多名受訪者中有少於六個百分比的人後悔 [4][5]。

美國精神醫學學會報告中引用的研究(Report of the American Psychiatric Association Task Force on Treatment of Gender Identity Disorder)[7]，通常後悔的人，只是因為本身有其他精神問題，或在手術前未曾用過自己認同的性別去生活，或者是手術效果不佳。
