Found this super adorable local cafe near our hotel that has beautiful pine green vines twined round the pink building. I find that contrasting colours make places more interesting and photogenic.
Also love how there’s always actual communication and genuine connections going on at these local businesses in Japan. The barista knew a few customers by their name, and I (accidentally) eavesdropped on two girls sharing their uni life in different countries. Such a warm and cosy vibe!

《玳瑚師父的看見》(English version below)
THE SIGHTINGS OF MASTER DAI HU

吾，玳瑚師父，不否認天賦的真實性。不過，菩薩也有隔世之謎。因此，就算再好的來歷，也得逢機緣，遇禮明師傳法，再剋期取證，成就無上正等正覺。吾是多麼的慶幸，在末法時期的這一世，還能恰逢真佛住世，修習真實佛法達清淨，永遠頂戴、感恩吾之根本傳承上師，當代法王聖尊蓮生活佛。吾的種種功德，皆來自祂的慈悲救渡、傳法、加持大恩。吾的種種功德虔心誠意迴向於祂，佛體安康、更快樂更自在、更圓滿的圓滿祂渡生的宏願。

當年吾八方雲遊，隨緣渡有情時，與一位患有後天小兒麻痹症的年青人相識。他有請吾爲他撰個新名、良名，及勘察陽宅風水。吾知曉其內心世界「洶湧澎湃」。於是，吾特地挪出時間，陪他吃飯、聊天、看電影及唱卡拉OK，主要是讓他知道，人間有真友情，人間有純純的愛，不要讓心中「洶湧澎湃」的錯誤觀念，侵蝕了他自己。有段時日，我們較少見面。某天他約吾一起用餐，吾欣然赴約。在用餐的間中，吾看見其頭頂上，有團不妙的黑氣，且是十萬火急的那種。吾據實向他透露，並勸他要多多行善，勿再有不好的心思及行爲，好讓其頭頂上那團黑氣，速速退去，以免爲時已晚。他聽了唯唯諾諾。

有一天晚上，他來電向吾傾訴，他弟弟沒經過他的同意，竟然將屋子給賣掉了，搞得他差一點露宿街頭。除此之外，他的工作也丟了。爲什麼會這樣？祇因其頭頂上的那團黑氣，沒有及時消除之也。在上段吾提到，他那心中的「洶湧澎湃」是指其非常不正的起心動念，如：非禮之視、非禮之聽、非禮之想、非禮之言、非禮之爲也。他家中的空房，專租給女性，是爲非禮之想。女房客帶男友回來，他則將其耳朵，貼在房門上，是爲非禮之聽。女房客在客廳時，他雙眼「特別忙碌」，是爲非禮之視。對女房客說話具有挑逗性，是爲非禮之言。沒經女房客允許，潛進房內偷看其電腦裡的資料，是爲非禮之爲。再加上父母養育之恩，不圖回報，災難如何不降臨呢？

有位高挑的女子，來過吾舉辦的餐會數次。有一回與她對話時，吾望進她雙眸裡，看見其一瞬間的演變。在適當的時候，吾忠言以告，若她不將其不對的理念及情操，速速改正過來，她很快的不久將來，必回去她非常不願回去的地方，那就是心理衛生學院。果然，在某個深夜裡來電，因聯絡不到吾，她就留言在語言信箱裡。吾有將這事透露於吾的門生，也讓她聆聽這位女子，在語言信箱中的留言，以證明吾的看見。吾常勸告男女有情，勿暗室欺心，要眾善奉行。吾，玳瑚師父的看見，是修行後的智慧之見。

I, Master Dai Hu, do not deny that one can be born with innate abilities. However, even a Bodhisattva has delusions in between life times. Therefore, whatever origin you possess, you still need the right opportunity and affinity to meet the right Master to impart you the Dharma, and you to actualize the practices within a time period and attain ultimate Enlightenment. I considered myself of immense good fortune to have met the True Buddha in this age of the Dharma decline, and practice genuine Dharma to attain purity. I always hold my Root Guru, Dharma King Living Buddha Lian Sheng, on my head and am forever grateful to him. All my merits stem from His compassionate salvation, imparting of the Dharma and His Empowerment. I sincerely dedicate all my merits generated to His good health, longevity, increased bliss and perfection in His great aspiration of delivering all sentient beings.

During those years when I travelled in all eight directions to deliver sentient beings as and when affinity arises, I met a young man with poliomyelitis. He engaged me to change his Chinese name, as well as a Feng Shui audit for his home. I knew his inner world was surging in torrential waves. Thus, I took some time out to dine with him, converse with him. We also watched movies and went to karaoke sessions, mainly for him to know that there are still genuine friendship and pure love in this world, and not to succumb to the tempestuous waves of wrong views inside of him.

There was a period of time when we met less frequently. One day, he asked me out for a meal. I went along and during the meal, I saw a cloud of inauspicious black aura above his head, like a huge hasty thunderstorm about to explode. I told him what I saw, and advised him to perform more good deeds, and not to harbor any ill intentions or do any non-virtuous deeds, so that the negative energy above his head can be quickly dispelled before it got too late. He just nodded in agreement.

He rang me up one night. His younger brother sold the flat without his permission, and he almost ended up living on the streets. Adding to his woes, he lost his job Why did all these happen?He did not make effort to dispel the black cloud of energy above his head in time. In the previous paragraph, I mentioned that his heart harboured turbulent tides of erroneous intentions, and he committed acts of impropriety via his senses of sight, hearing, thoughts, speech and physical actions.

For example, the empty room he rented out is only available to ladies, and that is an improper thought. When the lady tenant brought her boyfriend to the room, he would stick his ears on the room door and eavesdropped. That is non-virtuous hearing. When the lady tenant is in the living room, his eyes had a field day, making it non-virtuous sight. He also spoke to the lady tenant in a seductive manner. That made up non-virtuous speech. Without the permission of the lady tenant, he sneaked into her room and peeked into the contents of her computer. That was improper action. In addition to that, he had not sought to repay the debt of gratitude to his parents. How would disaster not strike him?

There was a tall and slender lady who came to several of my meal sessions. Once, we were conversing and I looked into her eyes to see a swift moment of impending change. I gave her some advice at the appropriate moment. If she chose not to change her wrong views and emotions swiftly, she would soon return to a place which she dreaded, the Institute of Mental Health. Predictably, she left a voice message in my voicemail one late night when she could not reach me. I told this incident to my disciple and allowed her to listen to the voice message to prove my "sighting".

I often advised all of you not to commit misdeeds secretly, and instead strive to cultivate all good. The sightings of Master Dai Hu arises from the sight of wisdom as a result of my spiritual cultivation.
