Why are you so downcast
Sitting in this tent alone
You think that you are fruitless
That’s why you bemoan and groan.

Don’t you know I’ve promised
To make you a great nation
I’ve called you out of the world
And shared with you My vision.

Come with Me and look outside
There’s stars filling the night sky
Great multitudes like a sea of glory
I made them, is there anything hard for Me?

My Grace is like that—an abundant supply
More than enough to carry you through life.
When it’s pitch black you can look up
The beauty of stars is only seen in the dark.

The majesty and love of Yahweh
How it brings me to tears
What an awesome God we serve
The One who made the stars
He banishes all our fears.

Did you enjoy my new poem above? It’s inspired by the scene of Yahweh leading Abram outside his tent to look at the stars in the night sky.
I love to write about God’s word as led by the Holy Spirit, and sometimes a particular revelation about God’s great majesty, glory, love and grace inspires me to write a song or a poem to capture that particular moment and the feeling I received in my heart.

I also write prophetic poems for those who commission (hire) me for it. It’s amazing how the Holy Spirit whispers the title into my spirit and within minutes, the rest of the poem materializes because it’s from Him.
