A different 7 April this year, in more ways than one.
Yet in some other ways, things will hopefully remain the same.
Like how I am still constantly discovering and re-discovering myself and what I want in life.
How I still have endless things to learn in my motherhood journey and each day presents a new set of challenges.
How I still love to write, blog, read and share. They honestly help to keep me sane.
How my home is constantly in a mess and will be worse for the next one month.
How I love being able to stay home with the kids and hope to make the most of our time together doing nothing yet everything.
How I still laugh when I am happy and cry when I am sad, and I am pretty sure both emotions are here to stay in my life.
How health is still the most important thing and why my birthday wish year after year is 希望一家人能平安健康.
This year, I hope I am not being too greedy to wish that the pandemic can be over soon for the whole world. No matter how alarming the figures or how dismaying the world news might be, we can't keep living in fear and be afraid of what tomorrow brings.
It's more important now than ever to have hope in our hearts, hold onto any form of joy and magnify it, be thankful for the small things in our lives, learn to better cherish the people and things around us that we had previously taken for granted, and treasure life in itself. An optimistic mind and positive attitude will go a long way.
Happy 37. Stay safe, stay home and take care, everyone.

英國《The Times》泰晤士報Ian Birrell專欄,開名加起底批評英籍香港警察。
"British officers are doing China’s dirty work in Hong Kong"
//As I saw for myself when covering the protests(報導嘅時候親眼睇到), at least five (至少5個)British officers in the Hong Kong police have played a leading anti-protest role.//
//A retired British officer told me that they were also dismaying many colleagues.//
(退咗休嘅鄉里都睇唔過眼啲所為。)
//They include Chief Superintendent Rupert Dover(第一個), a former public schoolboy seen at the university confrontation, and David Jordan(第二個), a commandant who joined the force after leaving the Royal Navy and was also spotted at the scene of the siege.
Another British officer (第三個)won notoriety earlier on when giving orders to fire tear gas as a pro-democracy politician approached police to call for peaceful resolution of a street confrontation. I watched two more (剩返兩個)direct operations, one mocked by residents after his team had to release a young man held on suspicion of joining protests.//
結論:
//it is time for British officers to respect their own democratic heritage and stop aiding a savage dictatorship.//
(係時候記起自己祖家嘅民主意識,唔好再為獨裁者服務)
