2021-06-19 17:30:10Doing our best to stay socially distant, Katherine and I hop on our bikes and head out of the city, to the nearly deserted streets of Guanmiao, Taiwan. This is a small town located west of Tainan, and is home to the Guanmiao Painted Village. Though not a large village, the beautiful murals on the buildings are great for taking pictures, and the clean air will calm you. Unfortunately, we happened to get caught up in a tropical storm in our mission to find the region's famous homemade noodles.

2021-05-30 20:00:15?? This is Mong Cai central market. It may look like a normal market from the outside and inside, but trust me, this market is one of a kind. According to recourses I read before visiting this market, most of the stalls used to have two workers - 1 Vietnamese and 1 Chinese, in order to communicate with the large number of both Vietnamese and Chinese tourists. Many of the workers speak Cantonese as well, due to Mong Cai being on the border with a Cantonese speaking province of China, Guangxi. However, the market is now almost deserted due to covid, since Vietnam isn't allowing any foreign tourists to enter. Still Max and I found some interesting people and had some funny conversations in English, Chinese, Vietnamese, French, and some random alien language. Come with us on this market hunt.

Bread in the Deserted Place
“In those days, when there was a very great multitude, and they had nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples to himself, and said to them, “I have compassion on the multitude, because they have stayed with me now three days, and have nothing to eat. If I send them away fasting to their home, they will faint on the way, for some of them have come a long way.” His disciples answered him, “From where could one satisfy these people with bread here in a deserted place?” He asked them, “How many loaves do you have?” They said, “Seven.” He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground, and he took the seven loaves. Having given thanks, he broke them, and gave them to his disciples to serve, and they served the multitude. They had a few small fish. Having blessed them, he said to serve these also. They ate, and were filled. They took up seven baskets of broken pieces that were left over. Those who had eaten were about four thousand. Then he sent them away.” (Mark 8:1-9 WEB)
Jesus had compassion on those who followed Him and were hungry. They were in a deserted place.
Many believers are experiencing lack in this season. Some are losing their jobs, others are losing their businesses, seeing a decline in income, and economic prospects seem bleak. You could say it is like looking for food in a deserted place.
Abba God whose heart is compassionate just as Jesus is, wants you to be well-supplied.
He can feed you with more than enough bread, even in the deserted place. Nothing is impossible for God.
When His supply comes, it is not going to be a trickle. It will be more than you need!
Have a good opinion of your Heavenly Father. He is not trying to teach you a lesson by making you starve. He is the one who has compassion on the hungry.
Jesus multiplying the loaves and fishes is a miracle that appears in all four gospels. God knows that we tend to worry about provision, and He wants us to believe that He will surely supply our needs, no matter how huge the demands upon us seem to be. God will still make a way for us.
Go ahead and thank Him for multiplying your provision. In His perfect timing, you will surely see His goodness in the land of the living!
The 37 recorded miracles of Jesus Christ in the four gospels show us God’s heart of love and Grace towards us. As you explore them in “Messiah’s Miracles”, faith will arise in your heart to receive miraculous breakthroughs in your own life: https://bit.ly/messiahs-miracles

Entering the full 4 months of Covid Lockdown here in Bangkok. In April we started this rooftop garden, turned the deserted area into a green space, where we’ve just harvested our first pumpkins! As much as we’ve missed traveling, human interaction and other activities. Gardening has definitely kept us mindful. Honestly can’t wait to grow more vegetables and learn more about them. In this long video, I give you a quick tour and cook a Thai dish called Kaeng Liang, which is spicy herb vegetable soup! Make a little substitute as well! I hope you enjoy 🙂 sending love and hugs from here.
