Jesus Understands your Suffering

“For we don’t have a high priest who can’t be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but one who has been in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need.” (Hebrews‬ ‭4:15-16‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

When going through hard times, some people like to say, “I understand what you are going through.” However, most of the time, they do not really know. They are just saying it to be nice and polite.

On the other hand, Jesus know what you are going through.

His head was pierced with a crown of thorns. He was stripped, humiliated, spat on, had His beard pulled, beaten with stripes, crucified, laden with the sins and sicknesses of the world, and burnt with the fiery wrath of God.

No other man will go through worse suffering than Jesus.

The God-Man Jesus knows what you are going through. He became a “man of sorrows” on the day of His crucifixion.

Jesus knows firsthand how difficult life can be on earth. That is one reason why you can confidently ask God for mercy and Grace in every situation.

Draw near to God’s throne—He will never rebuke you or cast you aside.

In your time of need, He will gladly provide the supply.

God is free to be good to you because Jesus paid for you to be made righteous through His shed blood!

The Bible says that all our sins have been forgiven by Jesus’ one sacrifice on the cross. We have been forgiven once and for all! The high priests in the old covenant had to offer sacrifices for sins daily. But Jesus, our perfect new covenant High Priest, offered the complete, perfect sacrifice “once for all when He offered up Himself” (Hebrews 7:27). On the cross, He took upon Himself all the sins that you will commit in your lifetime, and once for all paid the full price for all your sins. Christ does not need to be crucified again for your future sins. In fact, all your sins were in the future when He died on the cross. So when you received Jesus into your heart, ALL your sins were completely forgiven!

Now Christ is Everywhere!

“But we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, the wisdom that has been hidden, which God foreordained before the worlds for our glory, which none of the rulers of this world has known. For had they known it, they wouldn’t have crucified the Lord of glory.” (1 Corinthians‬ ‭2:7-8‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

The enemy is not so smart. At least not as intelligent as God.

The devil thought he could kill Jesus, and the very cross that he intended as a weapon of cruel destruction, turned out to be the move of God that sealed his doom.

This is just like how Haman was executed on the gallows that he built to kill Mordecai with. It is also like how Goliath was beheaded by his own sword.

Jesus’ shed blood redeemed what Adam lost to the devil through sin. The title deed of earth is back in mankind’s hands—not the sons of Adam, but the new race of man of which Jesus is the head.

The debt for every sin has been paid by Jesus at the cross, and the devil cannot contest this fact.

Now with the Holy Spirit (the Spirit of Christ) in every believer, it is like having Jesus multiplied all over the earth.

The devil was afraid when Jesus walked on earth, but now the church is everywhere, praying, preaching the Gospel, destroying Satanic strongholds.

No wonder Jesus said that we would do greater works than He did after He returned to Heaven. We have much more reach now.

Jesus has already won, and we are simply enforcing this victory on earth, until the time comes for the full takeover.

Satan’s time in short, so don’t be afraid of a defeated fugitive.

“By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” (I John‬ ‭4:2-4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

Receive God’s wisdom and power which are greater than the enemy’s inferior imitations!
