スズキ・カタナ（かたな）とは、スズキ株式会社が販売していたオートバイの車種。シリーズとして排気量別に数車種が生産されていたが、当初はGSX1100Sカタナ（輸出商標・KATANA）のことを指した。

750のカタナ

日本国内では当時二輪国内販売向け車種の排気量750cc上限自主規制があったため、1982年に国内向けのGSX750Sが発売されたが、当時の車両保安基準のためハンス・ムートのデザインとは異なるハンドルのバーが妙に高い位置になるアップハンドルで市販されたことから、「耕耘機（こううんき）ハンドル」と揶揄された。さらに、輸出仕様車にはあった"刀"ステッカー（書類に同封されてはいたが）と前面風防は付けられておらず、車名に「カタナ」の文字も入れられなかった。特にハンドルについては、所有者が輸出仕様の1100cc用のハンドル部品を取り寄せて交換することが少なくなかったが、当時はこの改造が違法改造とみなされ警察もこの改造を集中的に取り締まることが多く、その取締は「刀狩り」と呼ばれている。 その後のモデルチェンジで認可基準の見直しにより750ccモデルでも前面風防の設置・ハンドルの変更などが行われたが、1984年GSX750S2をもって海外販売も含めて一時的に全ての生産が終了された。一方、輸出仕様はGSX750SD（車体形式R701）が継続生産される。その主な特徴は GSX1100Sと同様のアルミ鍛造セパレートハンドル、ピストンの中央部を盛上げる等により圧縮比を本来にもどしフルパワー化した点で、エンジン自体の色が黒のものも存在する。尚、750ccのカタナでは3回のモデルチェンジが行われている。3型・4型はハンス・ムートデザインとは大きく異なり、リトラクタブルライトを採用するなど斬新な特徴を備えていたが、初期型のインパクトのあまりの強さゆえか、発売当初は特に人気面で低迷した。後年になって「3型カタナ」はコアなファンに強く支持されている。
