I am totally in awe of his ability as a songwriter and artist with vision. Of course there have been ups and downs to the journey and trials and errors but nothing can deny talent especially if the talent keeps on going. Noh Salleh understands the art of being an artist and he wears it so casually that people feel they know him and they love him for entertaining them, for singing songs they can relate to, for reaching out and caring… he is the consummate independant artist playing by his rules, doing what he wants to do but yet understands the responsibility that it brings. Last time I went on your show you were teaching me how to have more ‘swag’. Although I’m still working on it, I’ll always think of you whenever I try to become more comfortable with the camera lens.

Engelbert Humperdinck is a consummate entertainer. A performer since the 50’s, his career really took off in the UK in the 60’s with a string of hit singles including two number ones. In 1967, at the height of Beatlemania, he was the UK’s biggest selling artist of the year. In the 70’s he relocated to the USA and became one of the most successful concert performers of all time. His global album sales are in excess of 100 million records, he’s won a Golden Globe as “Entertainer Of The Year” (1988) and has four Grammy nominations.This live concert was recorded at the LA Forum in 1998 and is a companion release to a live album, which is released by Eagle Records.The concert includes the hit singles Quando, Quando, Quando and the #1 Release Me along with a host of live favourites such as After The Lovin’ and Can’t Take Me Eyes Off Of You, all delivered in Humperdinck’s inimitable style.

About Cinnabar Rouge - A Cabaret by Janet Lee

“Cinnabar Rouge, A Cabaret by Janet Lee”
April 20th & 21st, 2017 at Dpac Theatre


The songs are her spell, luring you in to follow her closely as she travels from the East to the West in search of the unknown love. Stay close while she time-travels through the music, let your heart and soul be charmed by something beautiful. Possibly poisonous.

Cinnabar Rouge is a cabaret and musical showcase featuring the consummate and bilingual performer Janet Lee - as the showgirl that many may have known or heard off, but might not have seen in the flesh, in real action. Directed by Nell Ng, with music direction by Tay Cher Siang, choreographed by Jojo Wong, featuring an ensemble cast (Alesia Dhana, Izen Kong, Joel Wong & Jojo Wong), with WVC – Malaysian Jazz Ensemble.

This cabaret will play in two sets, total performance time to be approximately 120 minutes including intermission. The musical force of this showcase is a unique brand of “Shanghai Jazz fantasy” meets Kit-Kat-Klub, created through collaboration of Janet & Cher Siang. The tri-lingual repertoire would be of covers and originals; songs a listener could sway along in familiarity, as well as delightful discovery of the new.

表演分上下半场，连中场休息共约120分钟。主力音乐是“梦幻上海爵士”加Kit-Kat-Klub的独特结合，由Janet和泽相精心打造。表演以三语呈现，有原汁原味的老歌引你随熟悉的节奏摇摆，也有让你惊喜的老歌新唱和全新创作。
