問了我那在醫院工作的法國前男友，他說他們有口罩，那我就放心了。
以下為轉貼（陳子倩節錄翻譯）：
災難當前，我們學習謙卑。
法國世界報已經不是第一篇文章反思歐洲為何會走到這個地步。
特別這篇是針對歐洲口罩污名的深自檢討，肯定台灣的努力，也寫出海外台灣人的悲傷和無力。
以下是我節譯的文章片段。提供大家以慈悲之心，小心服用。
標題：「歐洲的口罩污名震驚亞洲」
Le dénigrement du masque en Europe suscite la consternation en Asie
「法國政府宣導不戴口罩，這在東亞成功以口罩防疫的已開發國家眼中，是極大的錯誤。」
「法國、義大利、西班牙接二連三的舉國閉關政策，令亞洲已開發國家感到不解。歐洲這些經濟高度發展的國家，為何面對疫情爆發時，突然只能像獨裁中共一般，使用『全民閉關』這種原始且高經濟代價的對策？」
「當初若我們不是以驕傲的心態看待亞洲四小龍（台灣、香港、南韓、新加坡）的嚴密預防措施，今天還會走到這嗎？」
文章中段詳述SARS、MERS、禽流感時台灣就已在機場裝側紅外線體溫偵測計，而法國卻因為「無法證明其有效」而不採用。還有台灣特別針對來自受災區旅客的隔離、限制入境，以及公共場所設置乾洗手、定期消毒措施，同時確保口罩供應充足。還有香港微生物學家袁國勇主張「全民戴口罩」。
沒錯，這些我們認為理應如此的行為，法國人民在兩週前還認為太過誇張，認為亞洲人戴口罩相當怪異、無禮、可能還有病。
這篇文章末尾長篇向法國人說明了在亞洲，戴口罩是「自然且正常」的文化脈絡：
「法國政府奉行的WHO準則：『生病才要戴口罩』和『一般人無法正確使用口罩』在亞洲簡直不可思議。以上政策助長法國人的鴕鳥心態，和口罩詆毀行為。亞洲人在巴黎地鐵戴口罩遭受攻擊的影片，以及警察、收銀員、服務生、甚至醫護人員都不戴口罩的狀況，在在深深地震驚亞洲。在法國，前台銷售人員會被要求不要戴口罩，以免嚇走顧客，而這在亞洲卻是恰恰相反。」
「另一個在法國常見的說法是要把口罩保留給醫護人員。而亞洲國家在一月就意識到口罩可能不夠。在台灣，工業協會聯合起來統一提高產能，在一個月內就架設起六十條生產線…」

歐洲確實因為驕傲大意而附上了代價。法國人也發現了政府宣導口罩無用論的原因，除了文化因素，可能也是為了隱藏沒有口罩的事實。
台灣是小巧精緻的國家。希望大家要有自信，不要互相指責。

“When our traditions were first forced into the margins in the 1990s as a result of religious, cultural and identity politics, there was consternation among the public that expressed itself mainly in nostalgia and sentimentality. Younger people, however, search for these traditions with a greater sense of purpose because they are not acquainted with them. They suffer from a large cultural and historical hole in their souls, they seek greater meaning of themselves through these traditions, and they are getting increasingly weary of the inanities of cultural, religious and identity politics which have disposed them of all this knowledge,” he says.
