當代攝影師介紹：Chris McCaw

加州攝影師 McCaw 自13歲就開始接觸暗房，並鑽研各種大型相機（如 Cirkut）以及鉑金顯影。對於太陽移動的軌跡非常有興趣，且常在同一個場景待一整天，記錄太陽的光軌；再透過長時間曝光將這些軌跡顯影於自製的銀鹽負片相紙（paper negative）上，最後將他們用傳統方式沖印。他想要忠實記錄大自然的變化和時間的流逝性。

這種負片相紙，會在太陽長時間直射時，產生負感現象(solarization)－一種因過度曝光而自動反轉色調。而它也會因太陽長時間的照射而產生燒灼，使得太陽顯得強烈而聚焦。當 McCaw 發現這種在相機內部創造和破壞的過程，就試驗了許多不同的時間和曝光方式。

透過運用不同的大型相機、曝光以及沖印方式，太陽也在相紙上描繪出不同的圖畫，不但展現一種畫意的表現，也像是和 McCaw 一起觀察這個環境和太陽軌跡之間的關係和痕跡。
