1997 Chateau Margaux- Truffle, sweet dark fruit, tobacco and herbs. Elegant and expressive palate with more finesse than power. Lovely. 🍷🍷 - 2007 Bouchard Montrachet- Lemon squeeze, citrus, minerals, and chalk. Good tension with plenty of acidity and a big lemon squeeze on the palate. While Cellartracker shows a lot of premox experience, a proper bottle is great. 🍷🍷🍷

Year of Rat red burgs - 1960 Clos de Tart- Wilted flowers, perfume, sous, iron, earth, plums and prunes. Lively and kicking with fruit and acidity. 🍷🍷🍷 - 1972 Bouchard Clos de la Roche- A lovely nose with flowers, sous, tea, red fruit and soil. Classic and elegant on the palate despite a bit light but the sweetness was showy. 🍷🍷🍷 - 2008 Prieure Roch Vosne Romanee Les Suchots- Perfume, citrus, sweet red currant and tangerine peel. Seductive palate but fairly lean. Drink up. 🍷🍷 - 2008 Arnoux Lachaux Latricieres Chambertin- Classic Gevrey with grip and power but the oak was still a bit prominent. Needs time.🍷 - 2008 Ponsot Griotte Chambertin- Recent ex-chateau release. Basically its a bottle of soy sauce. Undrinkable. This is the best bottle of my case of 85 LLC. Like the 82 vintage of this chateau, 85 has lots of bottle variation. The classic claret nose jumps out of the gate from the decanter with smoke, tobacco, olives, tea, ash, earth, dark fruit and cedarwood. Palate has endless power with the smootheness of the 85 vintage. The fruit is sweet and precise with a long finish. This is drinking beautifully. @englishmans_claret recent tasting note on cellartracker is spot on. #leovillelascases #stjulien
