We bid farewell to my uncle this week, this is the second death on my mother’s side this year and it’s taught me a few of things:

1. Death can be isolating and a death during Covid times is unnecessarily cruel. In fear of infecting each other, isolation happens more often than not. Goodbyes are riddled with guilt of - did I do enough?

2. Filial Piety and the roles we play as younger generations to honour our parents no matter the circumstances, how this is embedded so deeply in our culture that expectations and pressures often bring judgement.

3. Family is family, no matter what, we will always have each other. The bickering, the annoying stories, the rolling of the eyes every reunion dinner, we still do what we can- bc we are family. Even if we are continents and oceans apart, we are still united.

Reunion dinner will look a little different next year without a couple of uncles to add their commentary on the world.

You will both be missed, rest in peace.

We made our first trip to Thomson Nature Park, yippee!

It was a good walk that we did as a family, despite the occasional nagging and bickering that has become part and parcel of our lives. There were dark clouds looming and we could hear thunder too but luckily, we still managed to complete the Streams and Ferns Trail (1.4km) and Rambutan Trail (0.4km), phew.

Well, that wasn't a lengthy distance, I know, but having three kids and a 3-month-old made it seem way longer than that. Along the way, we spotted insects like dragonflies, spiders, ants, butterflies, frogs, grasshoppers, as well as bugs and a caterpillar that we have not seen before. That is why these nature walks are so interesting because you never know what you might come across.

Hoping we will keep up this adventurous spirit as a family and that we will keep exploring, keep learning and keep hiking.

Someone said a couple of weeks back that it was quite relaxing to watch us clean the car, or clean anything as a matter of fact.

聽完佢咁講我哋即刻諗住拍呢一種10粒鐘嘅清潔短片，但係諗深一層臨近聖誕好似包禮物適合多啲 hahaha
We had plans to film this kind of fireplace, 10 hours non-stop cleaning for fun, but since it's almost Christmas, a present wrapping video seems more appropriate.

原來包禮物可以好快，所以最終拍唔夠10個鐘頭嘅短片（長片?）
大家可以睇吓片裏面會唔會見到我哋嘈交，或者打交?
We were much faster than expected so we're very sorry there isn't 10 hours of present wrapping but 36 minutes is better than nothing hahaha

Hello everyone,

I decided to make another Heart to Heart video while getting ready today. I got to meet a subscriber named April two weeks ago in the cereal aisle. What I learned from April was that she also has a Youtube channel but has found herself struggling to stay motivated. I was so distracted by a crying Isaac that I completely forgot to ask for her channel or I would've shared it here. She asked me if I could share my own personal struggles as a Youtuber and I agreed it was a great idea. Bear in mind, I could only share my own personal struggles and how I overcame them. It doesn't mean what I do would work for everyone. It's just something that has helped me joyful and going all these years. I don't know if this will even resonate for much of you but it's my deepest feelings of Youtube. No matter what, I'll always be thankful for Youtube. You guys have been my biggest reward since I started this journey and I want to slap myself silly each day because I cannot believe how lucky I am to have you all by my side.

I don't multitask very well so I decided to go with a simple everyday look. Sorry for such a sloppy look!! I forgot to set my foundation with setting powder hence the super smearing. I'm back on full swing writing the book again so will be trying my best to keep videos coming. For now, you guys know you can always find me on my vlog channel ^_~

April, if you are watching this- I want to apologise for being so zoned out then. You caught me during one of my off days (marital bickering with the husband) so I was quieter than usual. I can completely understand every single thing you are going through. I know how difficult it can be to stay inspired and motivated. I say this all the time and yet I feel like I don't say it enough, don't let numbers get to you. Focus on sharing what you love. If it's meant to be, the views/subscribers will come but don't let numbers steal away your joy. Someone will always be better and bigger and it's ok. If you can change one person's life for the better, your channel is worthwhile. I was too distracted by Isaac to properly reply you but I hope Isaac's kiss made up for it hehe. I hope to cross paths with you!!
