畫作賞析：
中國古代文人喜歡以「貍奴」來稱呼貓兒。這幅畫裡的貓兒輕盈跨步，嘎然而止，回首睜大雙目，神態非常生動。而且圖中的乳貓腹白背黑，黑中又不乏淺深，無論是染繪斑紋，或是白粉鈎線，無一筆含糊，通幅筆致細膩，形態和神情兼備，真的很傳神！本幅雖然無款，但在尺寸、格局上，皆與本院所藏的李迪〈貍奴小影〉相去不遠，可能亦出自南宋畫家 李迪(約活動於1162~1224) 之手。
Since antiquity, Chinese scholars have often used the term “linu” in referring to the cat, as in Lu You’s line of poetry that reads, “With a touch of salt to entice a small cat (linu), it cares for the thousands of books at my mountain dwelling.” This painting depicts a calico cat lightly prancing along, having stopped in mid-step as its looks askance in a very spirited and lifelike manner. The underside of the cat is pure white with tabby stripes over its head, back, and tail. Both the washes used to depict the stripes and white lines for the fur are done without a single indefinite stroke. The brushwork throughout the entire painting is exquisite with both spirit and form complete. Although this work is unsigned, its size and composition are both similar to Li Di’s “Small Image of a Cat” by Li Di (fl. 1162-1224) in the National Palace Museum collection, suggesting this also came from the hand of the Southern Song painter Li Di.

After a punishing workout I would be understandably soaked with sweat. I mean, who wouldn’t be right?
My housemates goes off to work early so since I have the whole house to myself, I would peeling off my sticky apparels as I go, dumping them in the laundry area as I head to the kitchen for my shake in the fridge.
I didn’t expect anyone to be around but last week my housemate’s BF happened to visit her and stayed the night.
He came out of their room as I was rummaging my fridge!
Clad in my undies I quickly moved into the fridge and held the door over myself. 😂
Mollified, I kept a straight face when he looked at me askance and joked my way out of it - “Just cooling myself down you now….”😝
Thankfully he just laughed and went back to his room to save me further embarrassment.
Walauwei.. hopefully he aint visiting any time soon! LOL!
