    หลังจากไม่มีเกมใหม่ ๆ ของ Game Boy Advance ออกมานาน ล่าสุด Goodboy Galaxy ก็เปิดให้ระดมทุนแล้วบนแพลตฟอร์ม Kickstarter และได้รับความสนใจอย่างล้นหลามจนทำยอดทะลุเป้าไปตั้งแต่วันแรกเลยทีเดียว

    Goodboy Galaxy พัฒนาขึ้นโดย Rik Nicol และ Jeremy Clarke มาในแนวเกมน้องหมาผจญภัย ที่พวกเขานิยามว่ามันคือ "Metroid ที่ดูน่ารักกว่า"

    สำหรับเกมนี้ ถือเป็นผลิตภัณฑ์แบบ Aftermarket ที่ผ่านช่วงระยะเวลาการขายมานานแล้ว ดังนั้นจึงไม่ได้มี Nintendo เป็นเจ้าของลิขสิทธิ์แต่อย่างใด และนอกจากจะลงให้กับ Game Boy Advance ก็จะมีเวอร์ชันบน PC กับ Nintendo Switch ให้เข้าถึงได้ง่ายด้วยเช่นกัน

    ทาง Nicol ระบุว่าเกมสุดท้ายที่วางจำหน่ายให้กับ Game Boy Advance ก็คือ "The Bee" ตั้งแต่เมื่อวันที่ 5 พฤศจิกายน 2007 ดังนั้นก็หมายความว่าเกมนี้จะเป็นเกมใหม่ในรอบ 13 ปี ที่มีการเปิดให้จ่ายเงินซื้ออย่างเป็นสาธารณะนั่นเอง โดยมีกำหนดเริ่มจัดส่งตลับเกมให้กับผู้ระดมทุนตั้งแต่เดือนธันวาคมนี้เป็นต้นไป
