Good diversification is important! Different foods and food groups are good sources for various macro- and micronutrients, so eating variety of foods ensure meeting nutrient adequacy.

มี IFRS17 แล้วต้องมี RBC อีกหรือไม่?

เราอย่าเพิ่งสับสนระหว่าง IFRS17 (International Financial Reporting Standard 17) กับ RBC (Risk Based Capital) เพราะวัตถุประสงค์ของแต่ละตัวนั้นแตกต่างกันโดยสิ้นเชิง โดย IFRS17 นั้นเป็นมาตรฐานรายงานทางการเงินที่เอาไว้ใช้กับงบการเงิน ซึ่งจะกระทบกับงบกำไรขาดทุนและงบดุล รวมถึงหมายเหตุประกอบงบด้วย แต่สำหรับ RBC แล้วเป็นการคำนวณความสามารถในการชำระหนี้ได้ในอนาคต ซึ่งภาษาทั่วไปเรียกกันว่า Solvency Ratio และถ้าให้เจาะจงสำหรับ RBC แล้วจะถูกเรียกว่า Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) นั่นเอง ซึ่งการคำนวณ RBC นั้นจะมุ่งเน้นไปที่งบดุลเป็นหลัก
IFRS17 ต้องการที่จะสะท้อนผลประกอบการบริษัทลงในงบการเงิน ส่วน RBC ต้องการสะท้อนความสามารถในการชำระหนี้ของบริษัท (มีเงินจ่ายผลประโยชน์คืนให้กับผู้ถือกรมธรรม์)
ผลลัพธ์ที่ได้ของ IFRS 17 คือ งบการเงินตามมาตรฐานบัญชีสากล ส่วนผลลัพธ์ของ RBC คือ Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) ตามพรบ.ประกันชีวิตและพรบ.ประกันวินาศภัย
ผู้ที่อยู่ในคณะทำงานหลักของ IFRS17 จะมาจาก สภาวิชาชีพบัญชี ส่วนผู้ที่อยู่ในคณะทำงานหลักของ RBC คือ คปภ. อย่างไรก็ตาม ทางคปภ. ก็ไม่ได้นิ่งนอนใจ และก็กำลังจะตั้งคณะทำงานขึ้นมาศึกษาผลกระทบของ IFRS17 เช่นกัน

Tommy Pichet Jiaramaneetaweesin, president of the Society of Actuaries of Thailand and Actuarial Business Solutions, said insurance companies with a high capital base and high capital adequacy ratio (CAR) (exceeding 240%) will benefit from the revision as they can invest their capital for higher returns.

"CAR normally declines when an insurance company invests in high-risk assets, but it is worth the investment if it can offer higher returns," he said.

The prices of non-investment grade bonds in the secondary bond market could increase after the amendment, Mr Tommy said.
