❤ “The Dream of Red Mansions”, an early, lengthy masterpiece, is about to be performed in Malaysia for the first time in drama form. With the play based on the original historical novel of the same name, Symphony Theatre is bound to portray for you an unforgettable, passionate, and heart-rending love story.

❤This time, Symphony Theatre invited Jessie Chung to take the stage as lead actress, portraying the pure and unadulterated Lin Daiyu. The lead actor, Terry Lim, was chosen out of a ton of applicants from around the world. Joining the ranks is lead actor of “Meant to Be”, the romantic, princelike American director Paul Lee and lead actor of “Music Box”, the charismatic heartthrob Jeffrey Beh!

❤One of the Four Great Classical Novels, “The Dream of Red Mansions” depicts various aspects of life and is a comprehensive, literary work that embodies the culture and wisdom of the Chinese. “The Dream of Red Mansions” was adapted from true historical events and traces the bittersweet tragedy at the Rong Mansion between Jia Baoyu and Lin Daiyu.

❤It is worth mentioning that many people believe for Lin Daiyu of “The Dream of Red Mansions” to be the epitome of frailty. That couldn’t be further from the truth. Lin Daiyu was a brave and intelligent woman who dared—more than any woman in “The Dream of Red Mansions”—to challenge the worldliness around her. Many liken Lin Daiyu to a lotus, because the flower is known to grow out of the mud unsoiled. The pure and unforgettable love between Jia Baoyu and Lin Daiyu is the most poignant and moving story in “The Dream of Red Mansions”. 🌷 The play “Meant to Be” is a heartful, romantic stage adaptation of a classic romance novel, set to premiere on July 3, 2020 at Symphony Theatre.

🌟Symphony Theatre invites U.S. director Paul Lee to direct and star in this play, and Jessie Chung as lead actress.

💖Paul Lee, director and lead actor of “Meant to Be” was raised in the U.S. and Taiwan. He majored in performing arts and music and is a character actor. He learned the craft of cinematography and directing under a few renowned instructors in the U.S., and has directed many plays, short films and commercials.

💓Also performing in the play “Meant to Be” is Jeffrey Beh, who starred in “Music Box” and will star in the upcoming “The Dream of Red Mansions”. At present, he is a graduate student majoring in performing arts and music. Many experienced actors will also perform in the play. So far, four performances have been scheduled, and the response from ticket buyers has been overwhelming, leaving only few tickets left among the four performances.Symphony Theatre has decided to add more shows! 好吧 不要對小學生構成壓力就好

看了3，4天马来文科教导爪夷文字的课题。
今天容许我来跟你分解一下，看看你是否真的了解自己以为“知道的”。

1. “爪夷文”不是阿拉伯文，这是一种拼音符号，爪夷文书写的依然是马来文，只是转换了承载字体。20世纪初，马来文/印尼文改用罗马字母，类似越南换了罗马字母取代。但同样字母组合的词句，不懂那语言的人是完全搞不清楚意思，顶多能别扭的拼出读音。

2. “爪夷文”跟传播伊斯兰没有直接关系，不该自己陷入宗教恐惧。就像部分穆斯林看到十字架就敏感。可兰经内的经文，一般穆斯林虽然能背诵，但是没有精通阿拉伯文的宗教司解释，他们是不明白的。你不能说学英文／罗马字母就会被基督教传教，学习中文就会被共产主义教育。

3. 这不是另开新科目，多一门语言让学生学习。只是包含在马来语课程的极小部分“趣味课”，算是介绍这语言背后历史文化，仅占课本，5页左右，并不包含在考试内。这跟中文课程里包含书法，任何族裔的华小生都需要学习。
但是并从来没改变或冲淡了其族裔的本质。

4. 普遍潜藏的种族沙文主义，欢迎异族学习中文，但是非常介意华人学习被他们看作“较低等”文化种族的一切。择优这种潜意识作祟，今天如果英文课/生物课/哲学道德加入拉丁文介绍的话，应该华社反对不会那么强烈，甚至觉得孩子该认识一下，能提升气质。

5. 功利主义也是人群中的一派，凡是考试没包括的，不知道对未来钱途有什么助益的，都反对花时间学习。除了“爪夷文”，甚至还有许多华小早就抛弃或冷落的艺术课，体育课等等。殊不知，知识易学也能被复制或因应时代淘汰，只有人格和心智思维才是最重要的，也是人的根本。
一门语言或文字都是一套思维逻辑的程式，往往一个人转换语言使用时，言谈举止，思考角度等都会随之改变。多语言学习就能加强创意思考和促进大脑皮层内知识库连接。

最后，我的立场是不反对在马来文课本中加入简单爪夷文的”趣味课“。政府和教育部门的政策宣导真的太差劲了，每次都先执行政策才来宣导，让有心人扭曲和利用。笨！
