美國國務卿布林肯於7月1日發布了《2021年人口販運問題報告》，今年的報告聚焦於過去一年來，全球疫情如何使更多人面臨遭受人口販運的風險，以及疫情如何削弱政府及公民社會應對人口販運的機制。台灣和美國皆嚴肅看待人口販運的問題，並努力不懈對抗這項令人髮指的犯罪行為，也因此台美連續12年維持第一列的評等。雖然評比結果獲得肯定，但雙邊仍存在嚴重的問題有待解決：美國面對的是兒童獨自跨越南方邊境等移民程序問題，而台灣則必須積極應對移工的議題，尤其是漁業的移工。讓我們持續攜手合作，共同克服全球疫情，消滅人口販運！

Taiwan and the United States were both rated in the top tier for the twelfth consecutive year, for each side’s serious and continuing efforts to fight this heinous crime. But there were still serious problems: for the United States, in our immigration procedures, particularly for unaccompanied children crossing our southern border, and for Taiwan, in dealing with migrant workers, especially in the fishing sector.
