由 VH1 音樂頻道、多位音樂記者、評論家和數十位樂壇歌手如 Carole King
、Britney Spears、Elvis Costello 及 Roberta Flack 等人一塊選出的 20
世紀百大搖滾專輯中，毫無疑問地，票選結果仍由影響本世紀最重要的樂團
The Beatles（披頭四合唱團）以 Revolver 拔得頭籌，而他們其他三張在
60 年代推出的專輯 Rubber Soul、Abbey Road 與 Sgt Pepper's Lonely
Hearts Club Band 也都擠在前 10 名之內，也是就說 Top 10 中就有 4 張
是 Beatles 的專輯！
第二名則是帶出西雅圖地下另類音樂文化、並掀起 Grunge 音樂潮流的超級
樂團 Nirvana（超脫合唱團）的曠世巨作 Nevermind，雖然 Nirvana 已隨著
主唱 Kurt Cobain 自殺身亡而消失，但是他們在 90 年代所引領出來的另類
音樂風暴，至今仍反映在許多另類樂團身上！而 Nevermind 也是少數幾張入
選為 20 世紀百大搖滾專輯的 90 年代出品唱片，其它除了 Lauryn Hill 的
The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill 、U2 的 Achtung Baby、Jeff Buckly
的 Grace。Pearl Jam 的 Ten、Radiohead 的 OK Computer 與 Liz Phair
的 Exile In Guyville 之外，大部分都是 60 到 80 年代的專輯入選。
