一個不愛主的人，主必定無法將事情託付給他，那日，耶穌將他的羊託付給西門彼得時，三次的問話，都是，你愛我嗎？可見愛，是神最為看中的條件。

當我們站在基督的審判臺前時，主必不因著我們工作有多大或多顯要而稱讚我們；祂所查問的，就是有幾分是因著我們愛祂的緣故作的。

我們可能像以色列人一樣，敬拜並事奉神，卻是哀痛的敬拜並事奉；我們被要求作這些事，一點也不喜樂。
