現在的臺灣社會,普遍有種不安定感,這種不安定感是由每一個人所形成的。
Currently in Taiwan society, there is a prevalent sense of instability formed by people’s insecurity.
所謂平安,有心理的平安、 生活的平安和生命的平安。如果心不安,很容易就會被環境牽動,一旦環境裡產生變動,或因他人的一句話、一個動作,甚至是媒體上的一個訊息,自己的心馬上就跟著起伏。起初是心不安,接著影響生活不安,最後連生命也不安穩了。
Peacefulness means mental peace, daily well-being, and safety in life. Without a calm mind, we’ll easily be affected by external influences, in that any change in the environment, whatever people say or act, and any information from the media, can immediately cause our mind to go up and down. Initially, it disturbs our minds, then it disrupts our daily routines, and finally our life becomes unstable altogether.
雖然心不安常常是受環境影響,但有的時候是自己疑神疑鬼,胡思亂想,結果愈想愈可怕,愈想愈糟糕!
A disturbed mind may often result from external factors, but sometimes it is due to our baseless doubt, suspicion and imagination, leading to a downward spiral of fear and anxiety.
當自己覺得不安的時候,要反問自己:「不安是為了什麼?」遇到任何不安的狀況,如果能夠面對它、正視它,問題往往也就消失了。
When feeling disturbed, we should ask ourselves, “Why are we disturbed?” When encountering any disturbance, if we can face it and look at it as what it is, the problem will eventually be gone.
