It’s normal to fear what is unknown, let alone having an intimate relationship with it. All we can do is prepare our mentality to be healthy and non-attaching. If I need to choose from Yoga Sutra a favorite quote of mine, it’d be “abhyāsa-vairāgyābhyām tan-nirodhah”. My understanding of it is “to stabilize your mind, work hard but don’t be emotionally attached to the results.” Be at ease with the whole presence of yourself, then you’re ready for this relationship with the unknown!
