    Nearly all Cathay Pacific pilots and most of its cabin crew have signed new contracts with unprecedented pay cuts of up to 60%, as part of a restructuring plan that laid off thousands last month, the airline revealed on Thursday.

    捷克參議院韋德齊 Miloš Vystrčil 議長在雙十國慶日時特別來信祝賀，令人感動！我也代表台灣國會，回信祝福捷克國慶快樂，期待台灣與捷克友誼長長久久！

    非常高興能收到您的來信祝賀中華民國（台灣）國慶，本人謹代表立法院和台灣人民向您表達衷心的感謝。

    上個月您不畏武漢疫情來台訪問，不僅堅定了台灣人民捍衛民主的決心，更為威權政府上了一課，表明民主國家絕不會再屈服於其威脅之下。相信在您傑出的帶領之下，參議院會是貴國最民主自由之機構。

    10 月 28 日為貴國國慶日，台捷兩國有著相似的歷史，都為民主發展而奮鬥，謹在此佳節敬祝貴國國泰民安，貴我兩國友誼長存，並期盼未來兩國更堅實的合作關係。

    It’s a great pleasure to receive your letter of congratulating our National Day on October 10, on behalf of the Legislative Yuan and people of Taiwan, I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation.
    You came to visit Taiwan last month under the serious pandemic of COVID-19, which not only upholds the determination of Taiwanese people to protect our democracy, but also teaches autocracies a great lesson that never again would a democratic country bow down to their threats. It is my belief that under your outstanding leadership, the Senate will remain the most democratic and independent institution in your country.
    As the twenty-eighth of October is your country’s National Day. Taiwan and the Czech Republic share a very similar history of fighting for democracy, thus on this special occasion, I wish your great country a thriving future and the ties between our two parliaments be further enhanced. I believe that, through joint efforts, this mutually beneficial relationship can be strengthened.
