Is the Ford Kuga a 4x4? While the Ford Kuga is a crossover SUV, not all models are 4x4. Most smaller petrol engined versions are front-wheel drive to save fuel while 4x4 is available on more powerful 2.0 TDCi models. Are Ford Kugas good in snow? Like any car, the Ford Kuga is only useful in snow when fitted with winter tyres, designed for cold conditions or mud and snow tyres. Even with 4WD, the Kuga won't perform any better than a 2WD in snow unless fitted with the correct tyres.
