American Woman Caught DWI in Toy Truck
.
Summary:
25-year-old Holman wanted to be a professional wrestler like her father, so she decided to go on a scavenger hunt in her silver Power Wheels truck. Everything couldn’t be more logical except for the fact that the vehicle was an undersized electric toy and its driver was high on narcotics when the American police found her. As the saying goes, stranger things have happened.
.
Language Enhancement:
Stranger things have happened (idm.)(世事無奇不有)
既然更怪的事情都出現過,那麼現在這件怪事會發生又有何出奇?這習語最適合用作評論非常離奇但並非完全不可能發生的事情,與中文的「世事無奇不有」意思相近。
e.g. I saw a raccoon wearing a knitted vest going through the trash today. Stranger things have happened!
e.g. My grandpa used to say “stranger things have happened” whenever he noticed a girl paying for a meal in a date. But in 2019, it’s not that strange anymore.
