🎹 鋼琴的大千世界：第18屆蕭邦國際鋼琴大賽順利晉級十月正式賽事的87位鋼琴家名單正式公佈！

台灣有三位優秀的鋼琴家在名單上，分別是張凱閔 (Kai-Min Chang)、謝維庭（Wei-Ting Hsieh）、蘇思羽（Szuyu Su）。

大會依規定會給予近年內曾在一些知名國際大賽的得獎者有預賽豁免權，不用彈這次的預賽就能直接晉級至十月的下一輪正式比賽有九位參賽者。

這次入圍主要正式賽程的87位鋼琴家主要包括來自中國大陸22位、波蘭16位、日本14位、韓國7位、義大利6位，以及羅馬尼亞、加拿大、台灣、俄羅斯、古巴、泰國、越南等其他國家。

The Polish Chopin Institute, organiser of the Chopin Competition, informs that this year’s preliminary has enjoyed record popularity among music lovers and web surfers. Despite the pandemic, the tickets to nearly all the auditions of the Preliminary sold out long ago, while the online transmissions boast more than 4 million views so far. People from all over the world have accompanied the contenders online, and have watched the videos for over 700,000 hours, which corresponds to nearly 80 years of continuous watching.

The official inauguration of the Chopin Competition is slated for 2 October and will take place at the Warsaw Philharmonic Hall. The auditions will commence on 3 and end on 20 October. The crowning of the event will be the Grand Awards Gala with a concert by the winners, which will take place on 21 October at the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera. The winner of the competition will receive the Gold Medal and the First Prize of €40,000.

Let‘s meet 87 pianists qualified to the 18th Fryderyk Chopin International Piano Competition!

The number of pianists qualified to the main competition by the Jury of the Preliminary includes 22 Chinese, 16 Polish, 14 Japanese, 7 South Korean, 6 Italian piano players as well as pianists from Armenia, Canada, Chinese Taipei, Cuba, Latvia, Russia, Thailand, USA, United Kingdom and Vietnam.

This year marks the biggest ever Decanter World Wine Awards(DWWA), which is already the world’s largest and most influential wine competition thanks to a rigorous judging process overseen by international experts.

DWWA 2021 included a first Best in Show medal for a ‘Vin Jaune’ – or ‘yellow wine’ – a speciality of the Jura region of eastern France. The winning wine was Domaine Berthet-Bondet, Château-Chalon 2013, made from 100% Savagnin.

Wine cooperative St. Jodern Kellerei in the Valais region already farms some of Europe’s highest vineyards, and it reached the summit of DWWA in 2021 after its ‘Heida Barrique’ 2019 won a Best in Show medal.

Friuli in north-east Italy made its debut in the DWWA Best in Show winners’ list, thanks to Muzic winery’s Stare Brajde ‘Collio’ 2019 white wine.

Noteworthy highlights include two Best in Show medals for German Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, showcasing the country’s ability to make top wines with these classic Burgundian grape varieties. A 2011-vintage English sparkling wine also won a Best in Show medal.

iPhone 12出來的一周，回顧一下十多年前智慧手機的霸主黑莓機。話說當年我也是"Crackberry" 黑莓重度成癮者啊！也就是剛好十年前的2010年，Android（安卓）作業系統市場佔有率，首次超越黑莓機，然後就再也回不去了。

If the rise and fall of BlackBerry teaches us anything, it is that the race for innovation has no finish line, and that winners and losers can change places in an instant"

不同於許多科技創業的故事，BlackBerry並不是在某個矽谷的車庫當中，幾個大學輟學的天才好友一起創立的。兩位最重要的故事主角，是性格南轅北轍的工程師與生意人。工程師為了解決通訊問題創立了小公司，近8年的掙扎，遇上了精明的生意人。兩人互相知道對方擁有自己沒有人能力，他們的合作開啟了一段耐人尋味的雙CEO企業故事。前面有許多年是非常艱辛為了要存活的，但就在他們找到的一個殺手級應用時，開創了一個新的局面，這個殺手級應用就是行動電子郵件（大家是否還記得許多年前要讀email是必須要有電腦的？）

從不起眼的加拿大小公司，變成創造智慧手機的國際大企業，其中當然有很多有趣的故事。包括產品的發想，初期華爾街使用者的愛不釋手，而其中一位CEO曾經溜進國際電信運營商大會，讓飯店服務生誤以為他是主辦單位人員，硬是把自己放在歐洲電信大廠CEO的那一桌，讓他有機會用黑莓機時他們經驗。以及BlackBerry（黑莓）這個名字如何不受內部員工歡迎，卻因為他們喜歡的那個名字，打在電腦的網址會進入色情網站，只好放棄抗議而屈就於“黑莓”。

但我覺得這個故事，對我最大的提醒就是當責(accountability)的重要。雙CEO的架構在公司前面幾年無往不利，即便兩人想法非常不同卻仍然能夠靠著共同的雄心，在員工以及外人面前口徑一致。但畢竟組織大到一定的程度還是必須要有好的制度以及文化，才能夠長久經營。但是當時已經大到公司裡面沒有人能夠對這兩位CEO質疑。在公司有危機的時候，市場以及投資人才發現，他們的董事會沒有人能夠對兩位提出反對的聲音，更詭異的是，在這樣的聲浪中，兩位決定一起變成公司的董事長，讓所有決策的當責，更加失衡。這樣的結果，一方面導致完全無法突破個人的主觀意識，看見市場的變化。另一方面，就是兩人漸行漸遠時也沒有人能夠攔阻公司被撕裂。除了造成多年產品與組織動彈不得之外，更是產生了公司治理的失誤。不但要罰款機賠償上千萬美金，更是讓好不容易建立起來的信任和信用，逐漸的毀滅。所以任何組織中，不同的聲音能夠被聽見，並且有約束的權力，真的是好重要啊！

話說回來，如同最前面所講到的，只要還有一口氣在，在詭譎多變的市場中，或許仍然有風雲再起的可能。看到近幾年的Nokia，先是忍痛割掉手機生意，卻也在精簡與專注之下重新站穩腳步。在最近的貿易戰敏感的通訊領域中，似乎找到一線生機。BlackBerry仍然是一個市值20多億美金的公司，手上也接近10美金的現金。幾週前一家掌握5G牌照的公司，號稱要推出一款新的黑莓機（得到Blackberry 授權）。讓我們繼續看下去吧！
