改變免疫力的呼吸法 (The Wim Hof Method )
Win Hof 號稱冰人，是擁有二十多項世界紀錄保持者。他的紀錄包括:
埋在冰水將近兩個小時
在芬蘭北極圈內只穿一條短褲跑完全程馬拉松
只穿ㄧ條短褲，光著身攀登珠穆朗瑪峰(過海拔7000公尺)
只花兩天光著身登上吉力馬札羅山(非洲最高峰)
在北極冰中憋氣長達6分鐘等等
但是厲害的是他證明了這些不只是馬戲團裡的把戲而已，不但他可以控制自己的自主神經系統進而控制免疫系統， 在一個VICE 的紀錄片裡 找到了24位志願者，以抽籤的方式選了12位跟著他訓練了十天。接著 荷蘭 Radboud 大學醫學中心對 這24位志願者，接受會讓人體產生感冒症狀但對人體無害的內毒素 (endotoxin ) 注射，使人體免疫系統誤以為有病菌入侵，製造大量細胞激素 (cytokine) ，通知身體準備「打仗」，並出現發燒以及其他感冒徵狀。
研究隊伍發現特別是再這12位受過訓練的志願者，在作這Wim Hof 的呼吸法30分鐘後，比起控制組，腎上腺素水平更高，感冒徵狀也較輕微，細胞激素數量低一半，這證明証明有意識的行為( 透過呼吸，集中力及耐寒訓練，控制免疫系統是可行的)相反的， 沒有受訓的12位則發生了嚴重的感冒症狀例如，嘔吐，發燒，發抖，頭痛等症狀。
這個對於免疫系統有問題的人， 例如 類風濕性關節炎，各種不同慢性發炎的症狀， 像是自身的免疫系統過度保護而開始攻擊自己身體的病，研究團隊認為可能會相當有幫助。
Wim Hof 有一個透過網路,為期10週的訓練過程, 目前我有參加， 我發現他的呼吸法訓練方式 和一些瑜珈呼吸法訓練有雷同的地方。
(Btw 他也練習瑜伽喔! 他的訓練課程也有一些延展的訓練)
這呼吸練習方式比較高階， 在上次的火箭瑜珈師資班，我有把簡易的版本介紹給同學。 目前我也把這個呼吸法加入了我原來的呼吸法練習。 我覺得他大大的幫助了我原本在練習的瑜珈呼吸法。
