This is definitely MY kind of 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧 🍜 . I’m really not crazy about ramen, as nowadays, most of the time it’s so overreacted, so making such a fuss by new generation of westerners who don’t have much experience of Asian culture, not just only Asian food culture, but culture in general. Good ramen, like any good food, could be utterly satisfying. Yet it’s not rocket science nor haute cuisine, and I believe it shouldn’t be. It’s common people’s everyday food, simple, direct, even “vulgar” but in a most amusing way. Of course, this is just my personal view, and I’m always wrong 🤣🤣🤣. I just want to say, this “mápómen” is therefore my kind of ramen, for its utterly upfront and unapologetic flavour, just spicy, sweaty, sexy and fun to eat. I ordered extra Sichuan pepper and flat-leaf parsley on the side to spice up the sensation.
