在自由的社會中，每位公民都能依照個人的自由意志來行使權利。言論自由讓每位公民都能監督政府，要求政府改變不公不義的法規與政策。
In a free society, all citizens must be able to pursue their own paths, set their own goals, and think for themselves. The freedom of speech safeguards these rights as it enables us to challenge and change government regulations and laws we find oppressive and unjust.
歷史表明，在缺乏監督機制的情況下，政府的絕對權力將導致絕對的腐化。即便有些言論不合我們的心意，但禁止人們發聲不僅限制了言論自由，也剝奪了人們聽取他人意見的權利。禁止言論，並不能禁絕思想。唯有透過對話與協商，才能達成共識，而使社會進步。
History has shown that without the corrective mechanism of free speech, governments would consolidate their powers without regard for the rights and freedom of those whom they ought to serve. To deny people of free speech is a double wrong, because doing so would also deprive people of the right to listen, even though some speech would undoubtedly make us feel uncomfortable. Banning certain speech would not result in the elimination of ideas. It is through engagement and negotiation that we can reach consensus and progress as a society.

瑪麗安（Mary Ann）在開今天的線上工作坊之前，錄了一個前導影片，說明全球意識機制（Global Conscious Program）的背景，以及這個機制和當下混亂焦慮的大環境之間的關聯。
看完了六集的影片，有些部分艱深難懂。而我心有顫動的（moved），是她在字裡行間不斷提醒的，除了這個去「機制」以外的，種種溫暖。
做筆記時，我不想將她說的某些話翻譯成中文（儘管有字幕），選擇用英語抄下。有些話，聽了不自覺想要紀錄。
1.
“We thought we know how our life can unfold.”
這句話中的”unfold”在中文的意思是「開展」、「顯露」。大意是「我們以為我們知道自己的生命可以如何開展」。事實是，我們根本無法控制什麼。這和另一句相關。
2.
“I wasn’t in charge.”
“We are not in charge.”
瑪麗安在兩個影片中各提了一次。
這並不是說，我們無法為自己的生命負責。或者，我們的生命只能交由他人任人宰割。
我的理解是，這是將人類圖設計以外的，更宏觀的「全球意識機制」帶入討論中。這要說明的是，整個宇宙由始至終都在進化著；而人類，是進化中的「一環」。
有個說法，較白話的意思是：「人看待事物，就只能是由人的角度出發的。」
而「我怎麼會相信，我是有選擇的呢？以為自己能掌握什麼呢？」

“Bigger program is not interested in human.”
“We cannot trust anything out there. It’s the program unfolding.”
我的人生「開展」之外，宇宙也在「開展」她自己。
人類在乎「人類的進化」，但宇宙有她本身的「大愛無情」。自然災害可以是「機制」的一部分，即便我們無法理解。
一切就如其是。
It is what it is.
而當我們的腦袋還在尋找原因，分析解釋，套入理由。事實就是在那邊，它就是發生了。我們尋找各種原因，說服自己「其實是可以避免的」、「要不是當出如何如何，就不會這樣了」。
除了我們的內在權威與策略，沒有任何其他權威是可以相信的，包括我們的頭腦（mind）。

“There is no mutation in fixed crosses.”
“It’s not bad.”
“It couldn’t be prevented.”
機制中沒有突變。
這一切的進程都是固定的。也不是任何人的錯。這就是會到來的。
我忽然想起，《Avengers》裡的奇異博士到底是預見了什麼，於是走上了他得走的路。
我們以為我們控制了什麼？到頭來到底是什麼控制了什麼？

“Even if I die, I know it is part of the program.”
我們該怎麼解釋死亡呢？
由於疫情而過世的人，是自找還是命定的呢？這命定，是機制的使然，還是更高自我的安排？沒有答案。
瑪麗安只說了，死亡是整體機制的一部分；即便她走了，她也不擔心。她明白是怎麼回事。
我感受到一種深深的無奈。我不確定，那是不是臣服的開始。而由此，我才離「別無選擇」的感覺又進了一步。我們以為萬事都在我們的掌控之中，而實然，這地球之外諸多事務，又豈是我們能「知」。

“Be aware of what your mind is telling you, about you, and your life; and what you should do, and what you shouldn’t do. Just don’t believe it. Life is so much better when we don’t believe what the mind says.”
頭腦怎麼會願意相信，它不是無所不知的。
而我們的焦慮，很大程度上，來自於情緒的緊張、直覺的恐懼和頭腦的焦慮。
頭腦的各種剖析，有其實用價值，但就是對於我們自身的決定，毫無助益。而我們是如何的深陷其中，不能自拔；在戲棚下站久了，入戲太深。深陷於痛苦，卻不願意脫離。
這戲好逼真。
但我們連戲棚什麼時候會收，都不知道。
我們計畫了許久的事情，也未必會實現。進入個體人的時代，以不變應萬變。
這個不變可以是什麼？
那是瑪麗安提醒我們的，回到內在權威與策略。
在英語裡，用的字是”honour”，榮耀你自己。
“Honour your way of making a decision.”
.
.
.
可是說了那麼多，在那些有聽沒有懂的語句裡，總還是有能聽進心坎裡的。
「這些機制、這些知識很美好的，但我在乎的是你；我在乎的是，在這個紛亂的大環境中，你是否可安好？」
即便未來充滿變數，聽到這些話語，心中總算平靜許多。
也忽然明白，人們說的「你若安好，便是晴天」，究竟作何解了。
