「每一種語言的消逝，就代表少了一種觀看世界的角度、詮釋這個世界的方式。」
　　
我還記得2016年第一次到 台東 有人在家民宿，一起彈奏音樂後，施奕安 跟我說了這段話。
　　
「語言是立體的。
當考古學家挖掘到器皿、用具等等，比較像是用平面2D的方式去理解前人；然而透過語言、文字，就能瞭解這個文化重視某種事情的程度，進入他們的生活。」
　　
當晚的交流對我來說彌足珍貴，直到現在，我還在努力嘗試用這片土地上的語言創作。

早期曾經寫了一兩首英文歌，不過純粹是自以為地覺得用英文唱起來比較好聽，並非真的理解，而好好地使用它。
　　
專心用中文、台語創作後，心裡也覺得踏實許多。沒想到這一兩年陸續收到訊息，是國外的朋友用串流平台聽到音樂，很喜歡但無法理解歌詞中的含義，希望我能翻譯給他們聽。
　　
這件事在心裡留了好一陣子，直到認識了Min，謝謝她有如詩句般的英文歌詞，重新賦予歌曲新的風貌：）
