VACCINE DOESN’T MAKE YOU INVINCIBLE. I wasn’t feeling so well the past few days, we stayed home throughout the week but we still need to go for hospital and groceries run once a week (so there could be risk there). I didn’t want to take any chances so I got tested again. It’s uncomfortable and bloody expensive to be doing it so frequently but what choice do I have? If I can still afford it, I’ll do it. The last thing I want to do is to be carrying the virus and spread it to the vulnerable folks. It really breaks my heart to see so many people still out and about thinking they’re covid proof just because they vaxxed. So many videos surfaced recently about the amount of people still unvaccinated, uneducated therefore unaware and unprotected about the severity of this issue. It’s heartbreaking because we’re FAR from done with this virus 😔 We can’t rely on our leaders, we only have ourselves to count on now. I was attacked on messenger yesterday, by some guy who went through my FB stories and decided that one of the Tiktok videos that I shared was racist or offensive or something. The way he wrote to me was as if he was a disgruntled authority figure, and I was some heathen that had no inkling of what was right and wrong. I tried to remain polite. I even told him a little lie about appreciating his feedback. But he was unrelenting. The endless palaver became exceedingly tiresome. I ended up having to block him. Next thing I knew, he came here on Instagram to attack me, because he was so aghast that I had the audacity to block him on Facebook. He tagged me on stories and called me a "piece of shit" and urged his friends to unfollow me. I can't remember what else he said. So I had to report him on Instagram and his stories were quickly taken off. It was just all a lot of bother for something petty that could have totally been avoided. I'm an adult. And I am adequately intelligent. I know what's appropriate and what's not, and I know what's funny and what's not. And I don't expect everybody to agree with me. But I will not be "schooled" by some uneducated rube from God-knows-where, who can't even string a coherent sentence together. Also, anyone who dislikes me or my stories or my posts really doesn't have to tolerate any of it. They can exercise their God-given right to unfollow me or unfriend me, or even block me. It's as simple as that. I was very anxious this time because I worry of my relapsed (when I'm sick, I tend of have severe suicidal thoughts). I was hospitalized for dengue in the past and was very very suicidal and many self harm. I remember those nights where the doctor and nurses will come and take my blood every single morning. I'm traumatized of going to the hospital again. And this is major major motivation of me getting the vaccine despite how worry I am to die from the vaccine (feelings are valid but it's untrue as only 4 in 1 mil has blood clot issues and the chances of dying from car crash is way way way higher). After years of brutally abuse my body, my body is always weaker than normal people. A lil bit of issue, it can get very severe and I never ever ever ever want to bring back to my parents, nor my parents in law. I must be safe for myself so I can protect them. That's why I opted for vaccine. I never thought of choosing the vaccine because I make a conscious mind that if anyone who needed the better vaccine it's not me. It would be those who are pregnant. Those who are breastfeeding. Those elderly. Those with immune system compromised. It's not me. I might be weak but I'm still stronger than all the above. I'm still stronger than those poor people, uneducated people who doesn't even have access to internet to protect themselves. Covid vaccine saves life. By vaccinating, it's also one of my tribute to all our frontliners who has been working tirelessly for us.
