💡 「徹底」這個詞在日語裡面的發音（Tet-tē）與台語（Thiat-té）非常相似。你知道為什麼台語和日語會有這麼多相似的發音和語彙嗎？

台語是沿襲中國東南一帶的閩語而來，而我們今天所說的華語（國語）則是由中國北方的北語（官話）發展而成。北語和閩語都是古漢語的後代，但是就像瑞典語和英語都演變自古日耳曼語一樣，兩者其實有著相當大的不同。相對於北語，閩語保留了更多古漢語的詞彙和語音，這也是為什麼有人說唐朝人講的語言其實比較接近台語（但這當然是一種簡化的說法，正確來說應該是台語保留了較多唐代語言的特點）。

早期日本人到中國學習漢字、引入大量漢語詞彙，這使得現代日語裡保留了許多古漢語特色（如入聲），這就是台語和日語相近的原因。例如：世界（台 sè-kài 日 se-kai）、意義（台 ì-gī 日 i-gi）、發展（台 huat-tián 日 hat-ten）……。這點在韓語裡也是一樣的原理，例如：道路（台 tō-lōo 韓 do-lo）、感謝（台 kám-siā 韓 gam-sa）……。相信學過日韓語的都心有戚戚焉🤭.

另一方面，台灣在日治時期也援引了許多日語的詞彙和外來語，例如襯衫（シャツ）、頭腦（あたま）、心情（きもち）……。這次反而是日語回過頭來影響台語，和當初日本人從漢語借字的脈絡有異曲同工之妙呢！
