(現實世界即便如此令人害怕與痛苦，它卻是唯一能找到真正快樂的地方，因為它才是真的）
之前出差美國讀了兩本VR相關小說。一個是之前有Steven Spielberg 導演的電影 “Ready Player One" （電影中文名稱 “一級玩家”）， 另一個是Cyberpunk 當中的經典 “Snow Crash”。 因為回台班機上有一級玩家的電影，我也索性看了。兩個劇情發展完全不同，而我還是喜歡書本的😄
電影諸如 “The Matrix" (駭客任務）, "5th Element” （第五元素），"Total Recall" （魔鬼總動員）都屬於這一個類別的故事。在維基百科裡，這個類別的定義是這樣的：
“賽博龐克（英語：Cyberpunk，又譯作「電馭叛客）是「模控學」（Cybernetics）與「龐克」（Punk）的結合詞，為科幻故事的分支之一。其背景大都建立於「高等科技與低端生活的結合」（combination of lowlife and high tech，通常擁有先進的科學技術，再以一定程度崩壞的社會結構做對比；其情節經常關於，社會秩序受到政府或財團或暗中勢力的高度控制，而角色利用其中的漏洞做出了某種突破。”
其實 "Ready Player One" 當中也有許多類似的元素。
看到現實市場VR的發展，覺得不容易想像。但是Ready Player One 描述的VR世界太精彩了 （也太恐怖了）。在虛擬世界中：
學校老師早上帶著學生去古文明帝國遺址，下午就帶他們去同一地方千年以前人來人往的時刻
在虛擬世界中的演唱會有無限多人和無限花樣
虛擬世界有一種遊戲，讓你進入最喜歡的電影中，你進入主角的角色，必須正確講出所有對話 （語調入戲有加分！）
但脫下眼鏡，大部分人都是活在極度貧乏，被壟斷網路的大財團控制著。
我喜歡書是因為書本到最後才讓幾位青少年碰面，把驚喜留到最後。並且，書中最後的一關的破解方式非常感人，呼應著虛擬遊戲世界創作者在賺盡財富後，還是勸人們要活在現實世界中。當然，也有可能是因為看書用自己腦子裡想像的畫面，可以比電影更不受限！
Snow Crash 我還繼續閱讀中。但它開頭的描述就深深抓住我的注意力。故事中的美國，只領先全球4方面： 音樂，電影，軟體，以及快速披薩外送。批薩外送壟斷與黑手黨老大，而故事的主人翁是一名外送員，身兼虛擬世界裡的駭客。有一天他在虛擬世界中發現一個叫做 Snow Crash (中文翻譯“雪潰”）的病毒，然後開始發掘一連串像是懸疑劇的事件。就讓我繼續看下去吧！
